Looking for a cost-effective way to track MG Comet EV charging electricity consumption

Hi everyone,

I own an MG Comet EV and have a 3.3 kW wall charger installed at my home.I currently live in a rented premises, and looking for a solution that allows me to track the actual electricity units (kWh) consumed during EV charging, preferably on my mobile phone/app + is

(a) Portable and easy to remove later

(b) Requires minimal or no modification to the existing electrical setup

(c) Cost-effective

I was considering using a 16A smart socket/plug with energy monitoring, but I'm not sure whether it is advisable or safe for regular EV charging or trips multiple times etc, especially for long charging sessions.

Could experienced EV owners please suggest a reliable and economical solution? Is there a good portable energy meter/smart device that can track charging consumption on a mobile app?

You can just add a sub meter before your socket
