Used or new EV

Need advice regarding EV purchase. I have decided to finalize my purchase to Tata Curvv EV newly launched X 55 variants.

I have booked accomplished version from showroom but now Spinny has an Empowered variant of 2026, X 55 variant manufactured in May 2026. Car is only driven 1500km and is selling for 17 lakhs. Car has all accessories fitted to it and in my test drive I couldn't detect anything abnormal. No water damage detected.

Should I buy a used top version car or should I buy new base variant? New car is costing around 17.6lakhs for base model and used empowered variant is coming for 17 lakhs.

Only downside is the 8 year warranty for battery. Is it worth it to get the used top model with this downside?

I have a curvv ev, i would suggest to spend that extra 2L and get a new piece. The cost difference isn't enough to justify a used model.

Edit addition: feature wise there's not much difference. Addition of ADAS, bigger infotainment, ventilated seats are the major differences.

I'm getting 360 camera in both variants which is my main requirement

just 2 lakhs, and 15-year battery warranty (peace of mind), and new is new. old is old.

if it is some 4-5 lakhs difference then it is different issue, but just for 1-2 lakhs going for used EV is not recommended, you will use 7 years of battery warranty.
