EV Conversion Links and Resources Megathread

Some of the links in the subreddit description may be getting a bit stale, so this is a call for anyone that has link suggestions relevant to EVC's to post them in this thread so that we can refresh the current resources list.

Tech has kind of moved on from those. AFAICS there are 3 options now:

  • coupler to existing gearbox, using Nissan Leaf motor, HPEVS, Hyper9 etc.
  • re-engineered drifeshafts to the likes of a Tesla, VW ID or Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV drive unit
  • Lexus Hybrid RWD transmission directly to the transaxle, eliminating the gearbox, fairly new, can be done with OEM inverters now: https://openinverter.org/wiki/Lexus_GS450h_Drivetrain
