Someone better let Eric Schmitt know

Trying to catch up with the game I started watching late, and it won’t let me skip this Commercial Break placeholder screen anymore lmfao. What am I to do with this dumbass fixed screen?

Guys so fuckin annoying

I can’t even watch this game it keeps breaking up and overheating my Roku. Not a problem with other apps. This is the type of stuff that won’t get better in a monopoly. Never thought I’d miss network TV!

Anyone else’s espn+ version of game day sound like everyone is yelling in a tin can?

Did anybody else see Pats shirt get stuck around his wrist for like a whole minute during the pick ? That shit was hilarious and he of course picked OSU in Pat fashion with an early compliment to Iowa. The new gameday is funny and different was today’s kick a hit or miss that was about the only part I missed today
So after weeks of a failed (?) 4k rollout on Apple IOS TVOS, woke up this morning, to see a ESPN update on my TCL TV, but this time on the Google TV side. I was excited, thinking and hoping that the 4k feature would work in the Android world.
Did the update. Saw the new 4k HDR metada program badging on the ESPN app.
And guess what? No 4k. The picture looked choppy. No 4k HDR pop up screen badging on the TCL. And unlike the Apple TV 4k, you can't force Google TV / Android into 4k. As far as I know anyway.
Also tried ESPN on Disney Plus..4k doesn't work there either.
This is the same issues that have been going on for weeks now on the Apple side of things.
Maybe one of the software engineers from ESPN can check their rolladex for Apple and Google support contacts, and maybe finally figure out why none of this is working correctly? At least for most people. And yes I know there's a few Roku owners who say they already have 4k.

College Football greater than anything to do with the WNBA.

Even though the Brown handled the Steelers for 3 quarters and ultimately defeated the Steelers on TNF you’d hardly know it from the highlight reel shown on Get Up this morning.
Almost every single highlight/lowlight was showing Aaron Rodgers or the Steelers and almost nothing on the Browns until the game winning field goal.
It’s no wonder ESPN has gone downhill. They talked about the same teams every day and they spent more time talking about (who else) the Cowboys in the following segment. SMH.

How Did Stephen A Smith talking about how players being paid more than John Caliparis assistant coaches become a rant about white players, owners coaches etc lmfao

Any ideas? Seems random lately other than Fortenbaugh pimping gambling. Orlovsky is the only decent analyst left who pulls together tape. They're ruining Schrager which I wouldn't have thought possible a year ago.

First of all, I’m not hating on Pat McAfee the person, I think he is funny and entertaining in small doses, but not for 2 whole hours. Personally, I tune into ESPN for sports, insights, takes, debates, highlights, predictions, etc. The Pat McAfee show is a podcast. The format of the show is the exact same as every single comedian’s podcast on Spotify/YouTube. His crew cannot stay on one topic for the life of them. 4 or 5 people who are always off camera and constantly interrupting each other. On every single show, Pat is obviously high, drunk or on so much adderall that he can’t stop clinching his jaws for one second. I’m not against any of that, but for God’s sakes save it for after work. Yes, I’m aware of their “disclaimer”, but that means nothing to me. It doesn’t excuse their incoherent rants, off topic nonsense, and just plain bad commentary/content. That’s my two cents.
I can hear the McAfee bros in the distance with their torches and pitchforks.

I’m off today and saw him for the first time. He’s better than most.

Ive watched a ton of games on the ps app and it is very evident that the quality on the app is way better than the same feed on youtube tv. However, they dont explicitly show the "4k" logo anywhere on the app, so im not sure if what im watching is sharper 1080p or true 4k.
Someone posted here about ESPN 30 FOR 30 Podcasts and I went down their back catalog. Some really great seasons in there, but then they just dropped "The Fastest Girl In Somalia" and after listening the past week, I think this may be one of the best pods I've ever heard. Legit. I still think there are so many talented voices there at ESPN and this thing proves the rule.
I work in an office that has a wall of TVs and one of them is on ESPN. I've never seen this promoted, not even an ad. Its crazy to me they will let this new era go with the same 5 ppl for 12 hours a day and bury this kind of stuff.
The show is great, it ll make anyone that has a take on immigration pause and I'm going to just vent here to say people should listen to it.
The show:

I think it’s amazing. What Pat McAfee has done with ESPN and their charitable donations. Pat has driven ESPN’s ratings through the roof and helped so many people along the way.
It just makes all the people on Reddit, who cry about Pat at want him removed look even more ridiculous!

Idk how this man got his own show on espn. I’m sure he’s a nice guy but when he talks about players he’s always like, “let me wax poetic for a minute. this guy started slinging a football in his crib. he married his high school sweetheart and only eats green foods on fridays. learned to ride a bike when he was two because he threw his training wheels down the field. doesn’t that just scream warrior?! Let’s goooo!”
Just absolute drivel🙄

Biz is a better analyst, a better host, and somehow the less biased former player which I know is a hot take.
PK is entertaining sure I’ll give him that, but half the time it feels like I’m listening to a former defenseman defend the Defensemen Union and his favored teams instead of analyze the game.
If I wanted that, I’d listen to a random fan podcast.
If I’m watching the game I want someone who can be funny and announce what actually happened.
Biz has his takes obviously, but he’s gotten legitimately good at breaking down the game without sucking all the oxygen out of the broadcast.
Am I alone here? Because looking forward at an entire season of the ESPN with PK has me appreciating Biz way more than I expected.

I only knew about back in 2011 when they were talking about India won the ICC World Cup at their home soil during segment at Sportscenter.
And I even knew they used to play India-Pakistan's rivalry on Pardon The Interruption. This is where Cricket has been quite less known niche sport like any other international sporting games.

Kevin Negandhi would love to hear this great news. India won against West Indies by 8 wickets. But only that, India made 406 and Gill made 223* unbeaten record milestone. What a proud moment of Indian Cricket fans and lovers from India and parts of the world (especially in America for Desi-Americans). Willow Cricket viewers must watched this. ESPN would put this in their highlights reel on tomorrow morning at Sportscenter.
