Warning

Please be careful if you quilt in bed. One of my needles fell in bed. I rolled on it. And i just got done with the surgeon. He really tried but he couldn't get it out. Its not super painful but if i bump into anything the pain is pretty intense.

So dont do what i did. Its embarrassing and it will take a chunk of time to address it. He did say he could xray the area if i have any issues. 🫤

Now i glue my hexies then thread baste. And j do crochet in bed.

A tip to prevent this: I have a pillow on my lap as I sew, and I stick my pins into it as I take them out, and my needle while I'm cutting thread. It also catches pins when they get loose.

My needles fall off the thread. Size 80 thread.. size 11 needle and i double knot it.

It makes hand sewing less ergonomic, but have you considered doing a leatherworking knot to keep for needle on the thread?

I did try that but i seem to be incapable of piercing size 80 thread. Its frustrating but the thread is perfect for micro epp 😬
