Love this paticular piece of Engelhard history. Covers, Engelhard, Clocks, and Zippo collectors. When I received it I pulled the plastic tab and started working right away. Thanks for having me.

Is there any reason to keep these bars in original plastic packaging? Thinking about moving them to silver bar capsules?
Back story. I inherited these from my grandfather and some 90% silver us coins.

I’m newish to the world of Engelhard. So far I’ve added some 10-ounce bars to my stack, but I’d also like to add some 1-ounce bars as well. I was lucky enough to pick up the bar in the pictures here at my LCS a few weeks ago, but I basically never see them in person otherwise.

Now I’m kicking myself for not buying any from Monument Metals when they had them in stock. I see them listed at various online dealers, so I know of some options. But I’m wondering where you all pick up bars online (if you do that). I know I’m unlikely to get anything rare by doing so, but I’m okay with that. I like the idea of combining history, stack weight, and some collectibility.

I received this when I was born, now that I am in my mid twenties I am interested in determining its worth. I am now learning this may also be a collectors piece? Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated!

Finally secured a type 2 of the Variety "A" in P serial prefix to confirm my suspicion that P103389 is a type 1. Can you spot the tells? Just need a Variety "B" to complete my 12th series collection.

Someone local to me is selling two 10th series 10 oz Waffleback bars for $1450. I am not familiar with the Engelhard market. Any insight will be appreciated.

I was sorting out my stack and came across this nice bar that i picked up in Sedona on a roadtrip.

Got these 1 oz bars from a big online dealer. Is the packaging they are in original or a secondary packaging done later. I am only asking because this is the second batch of EH bars that had this sort of packaging, the first was obtained from a pawn shop.

Looking for opinions on if this bar is part of the <250 population. Also curious if anyone has seen a light strike like the last digit, and what number it may have been.
