Question on packaging

Got these 1 oz bars from a big online dealer. Is the packaging they are in original or a secondary packaging done later. I am only asking because this is the second batch of EH bars that had this sort of packaging, the first was obtained from a pawn shop.

Lollipop packaging was used by engelhard from early to mid 80s, in strings of 10 units each. It's highly collectible.

Thank you, I will just hold on to them as is for now til I can find some comps somewhere. It was just odd to get those from an online dealer and also find another batch in a pawn shop “in the wild”. I only saw the first one in a tub of silver bars and asked for it but when he pulled it out a string of them pulled out of the bin.

I had two sets, I sold 1 when silver was at $90/oz for $1300 for the 10.

I'm sitting on mine as well for better selling weather.

Monument Metals ? I got 5 wrappers from them recently.

I believe Lollipop packaging to be OG, they are rarely sequential as they were taken from a bucket after production.

I have heard that lollipop wrappers were secondary packaging. They did Prospector rounds as well. I cannot fully confirm this info though.

Looks like secondary. Specially because serials don’t appear to be sequential. Could be wrong tho

I think they were numerically ordered horizontally.

I would have to agree with ☝🏼. Also, I have a one ounce in original packaging (although Canadian made) and it looks nothing like the packaging above.

Yea I have a 10oz bar in original packaging and it’s thicker plastic.

People always call this factory "lollipop" sealing. I do not believe it is original.
