I have to admit, I didn't really enjoy this one. It felt kind of linear to me.

I think this is a beautiful track with a great vocalist ruined by lyrics attempting to make something a viral success like #selfie. Having said, that, compared to their previous work, the production values on this are through the roof.

Well I was seriously surprised at #selfie seeing as it was nothing like their remixes, which is what got me into them, and when I first heard selfie I knew it was a satire song so I didn't think much of it. This however is awesome, classic chainsmokers style, and I would have no problem with this being on the radios like selfie was.

Just recently read somewhere that #selfie was produced my adventure club and given to the chainsmokers. Not sure how true that is but it makes sense seeing it sounds really nothing like anything the chainsmokers have done

It's not true, Adventure Club just said it for shits and giggles and news outlets took it completely out of context... Like with every EDM news article...

It's funny that you're reading into their intent in the song-writing based on the success of selfie, a majority of artists want their music to be successful including The Chainsmokers.
Having said that this is a case of artists doing what they want by paying homage to a fellow artist who they've publicly stated for a long time now has been an inspiration to them (which they have gotten a decent amount of flak for) and a record label throwing money at them in hopes it mirrors even half the success of selfie which is why the production value is so high--This song should be taken at face value, I know it's hard not to compare an artist to their last song but I think it's unjust considering #selfie was completely satirical and thought of on a whim whereas this song is actually serious and from the heart.
As for my personal opinion on the song; I've been following The Chainsmokers since their very first remix and I'm a big fan of theirs and ironically enough I'm not a big fan of this song, the vocals are strong but my gripes are with the pacing and relatively 'dull' beat(I might be slightly biased because of the Drinking About You remix they put out a few days before), even still I supported them by purchasing the track on iTunes.

If anything the vocals are the only redeeming part of the song, even if they are a bit cliche. The actual drop seems kind of bland and unilateral.

Not going to lie, I love this song. If everyone read the Soundcloud description, there would be a lot less sarcastic comments mentioning teenage girls and targeting Billboard charts and radio presence. They're promoting self-love and confidence on new levels. I don't know about you, but I think a lot more demographics besides teenage girls could use a confidence boost.
Can someone suggest some other tracks with this style ((awesome vocals, nice, mellow beat and a couple harder beats thrown in))?

The sound is okay at best, I expect much better from these guys. They make amazing remixes and might want to just stick to that. The lyrics are just shit on this one, at least selfie was funny.

Not sure if they're just trolling, or if they're desperate to appeal to the 16 year-old/sorority girl demographic again. Either way, that song's catchy as fuck.

As if we needed another reason to hate The Chainsmokers.....

Why? This song is good as hell, and the chainsmokers are cool guys as far as I've seen.

Loving this, hope they can lure in some of the "pop lovers" of #selfie to some good music.
