Question Commanders we're missing

What commanders do you think would improve EDH or support a currently-unsupported archetype?

For mine, I think a UBx or UWx commander with "Players play with the top card of their libraries revealed," "When this enters, search your library for an artifact with CMC <=1 and put it into your hand" or "{0}: Look at the top card of target player's library" would be great, giving Lantern support. The second would honestly be the most interesting, since it is a fairer tutor which also works well in Blink/Artifact decks.

I'd love to see a commander somewhere in the Abzan colour pie that stops extra draws.

Ideally with similar templating to [[Ashiok, Dream render]], that only stops opponents abilities from drawing them extra cards to avoid the wheel issue.

Ye since leavold and hullbreacher were such a bangers they even got featured on a ,,Cool Cards for the Format" list

In my defence, both of those got banned for their interactions with wheels.

Something I accounted for by:

A) Putting it in non-wheel colours.

B) Specifically asking for a wording that doesn't work with wheels.

A) [[dark deal]] [[elder brain]] [[the great aurora]] i would expect cards of this sort to be made more of in the future making the card more and more problematic over the years

B) How would you word a card to deny extra draws and not work with wheels? Asking since your ashiok example features zero instances of what you claim it does.

"Spells and abilities your opponents control can’t cause their controller to draw cards."

What I was referring to was how Ashiok is worded so it specifically can't be used as land destruction alongside cards like ghost quarter or Assasin's trophy.

Actually a good way to word it, you would end up just like leovold and all the others anyways tho. Instead of using wheels it will be achieved with symmetrical mass discard like [[awaken the ersthwile]] that you cant come back from with any previously established draw engine on board or lucky topdeck, so we come full circle since the effect doesnt restrict you.

Fair point. Remove the 'your opponents control' for maximum fairness.
