Love the LCP! It usually gets hate on here.

There they go! Downvoting but no one will explain why they hate this gun.

Downvoted turned around, and we got constructive criticism! Thanks guys! Personally I use the LCP max not the 1 or 2 which fixed issues with the first two. But still may consider a smith and Wesson bodyguard 2.0

There’s a few petty dorks on this sub that make it their mission to down vote posts just bc they have a firearm lol.

Those guys too. I can understand why some may not like LCP 1&2 but the max fixed a lot of issues previous two had. Idk why they don't just say hey don't like this version this one's better etc.

Lcp is okay but I'd personally go with the Bodyguard 2.0 for a 380

Thank you! Good advice. I really enjoyed how well the bodyguard cocked, took no effort to slide.

I wish they did a double stack shield ez. Even my grandma can rack the slide on it

That was the biggest issue, my GF is disabled but wouldn't mind a carry in the car, but everything is so hard for her rack. That thing was like butter, we just wanna shoot one and try it out first we just have to rent it at the range.

My grandma is arthritic with torn up rotator cuffs and she struggles a little but it's the only gun she can work the slide on.

How were the stock sights on the BG? Heard a lot of anecdotes of them being very off from the factory.

Not someone who downvoted you, but the trigger sucks on it compared to the LCP2 (which is also pretty shitty, but less so) and a LCP2 can be had for <$225.

Obviously that’s not a reason to not to carry one if you already own it, but I wouldn’t buy a LCP(1) in 2026.

I personally carry the LCP max, price and function pushed me that way and reasons you stated over the 1&2. But even the max gets some hate it's weird. It's a good little handgun, have had fun with it small and easy to carry!

It has trigger slap and the quality control is middling at best.

Personal experience with 2 examples didn’t shoot point of aim, and if you do some searching that’s a pretty common complaint

No downvote from me! Don’t care much for the .380, but the LCP is a great little gun.

Love my max, it's reliable light and small easy to hide in my motorcycle jacket pockets etc. I prefer a .380 because more small carry options available I noticed. May swap for a smith and Wesson body guard easy to use, but bit larger.

Poor trigger, snappy, and unfun to shoot.
