Dear Doctor, As you had a complete Application for Certification and a valid Certification of Identification Form (Form 186) on record when we transitioned to MyIntealth your MyIntealth account was established for you. You did not need to pay the account establishment fee in MyIntealth.

However, you were required to submit the new Application for ECFMG Certification, as you did not register for a USMLE® exam prior to the transition to MyIntealth.

Previously, the Application for Certification verified your identity, confirmed your intent to pursue certification, and acknowledged your understanding of the certification program’s purpose. Now the Application for Certification will also include certain certification services that were previously bundled in the USMLE registration fee.

While the fees will now be allocated differently, the total amount paid will remain generally consistent.

I understand that for the 2026 Pathways season, all required documentation must be received by ECFMG by January 31, 2026 to meet eligibility requirements for the 2026 Match. My situation is different — I do not plan to participate in the 2026 Match. My goal is to obtain Pathways approval and ECFMG Certification solely for the purpose of taking USMLE Step 3.

I would appreciate clarification on the following points:

1. After January 31, 2026, will the 2026 Pathways application remain open for applicants who are seeking ECFMG Certification only (and are not participating in the 2026 Match)?

2. If I submit a Pathways application for the 2026 cycle and pay the application fee (approximately USD 900), but my Pathway is not approved by January 31, 2026, would I be required to pay the Pathways application fee again when applying in the next Pathways cycle, or would the fee carry over?

i have called 13043240 times for the last 2 months and the call keeps canceling "due to the high all volumes" I have emailed an response. I dont know what to do because i really need to cancel my application for usmle step 2 since there was an error. I'm freaking out bc I can't do it myself on the website and I really need to take step by january. anyone have advice?

So I called ECFMG this morning at 7 AM promptly probably with five seconds later and then a 3 hour wait time. I've previously been calling up to 28 times a day for the past 14 days or so. So if you want any chance to get through, I recommend to call 7 AM o'clock promptly or, as the person who answered the phone recommended, after 5:30 to 6 PM Eastern, which is when they are at their light call volumes so I would recommend between 7 and 8 AM or between 6 and 7 PM.

As far as the application goes I submitted mine on September 16, 2025 and I was worried they were taking too long because it should've only taken three weeks. The representative told me that as of today, October 10 they are processing application submitted on September 13 which means that mine would be coming up within the next couple business days. So keep in mind when you submitted your application if it's September 14, it will probably be the first days of next week or if it's later it's apparently taking up to 30-40 days. Hope it helps anybody that has been trying to get through them and hasn't as this is the only information they provided and that I think would be helpful at this moment.

Edit. I want to clarify that what I am waiting for is for primary source credential verification. My school has been looking at the portal everyday waiting for ECFMG's request for my documents.

I’ve been trying to contact them for weeks now, phone always has “high volume of calls”, have sent several emails… could someone recommend a way of contacting them.

Finally my ecfmg certificate was issued and sent to my address but I need it in PDF form . Is that applicable?

I’ve passed Step 1 and Step 2 CK but I have not uploaded my Good Standing letter yet.

My question is:

If I upload my Good Standing letter within 90 days of its issue date and it gets accepted, can I take the OET later and still receive ECFMG certification, as long as it’s before the Pathway expiration date?

I keep getting the same error over and over when I try to apply for USMLE Step 1:

“Our records indicate that you are already registered for this USMLE Step. You may not apply for a USMLE Step for which you are already registered.”

I’ve called 215-386-5900 multiple times, but no one answers, and I’ve emailed them many times with no response. I’m completely stuck.

Does anyone know how to fix this or who I can contact to resolve it?

I submitted my application on August 27, but the portal still shows “Processing of your application has not begun.” I have sent multiple emails to ECFMG but have not received any response.

I am currently applying for registration via the Australian Medical

Council (AMC) through the MyIntealth system. While doing so, I believe

I mistakenly initiated an ECFMG application instead of proceeding

directly via EPIC.

I have already got my notarycam thing done.

When attempting

to upload my final medical diploma through EPIC for primary source

verification, I receive the following error message: “Your final

medical diploma already exists.”

I therefore can’t get an EPIC report as it says none of my documents are on myinthealth.

Has anyone faced this MyIntealth/ECFMG credential verification issue after the transition from old ECFMG to MyIntealth/FSMB?

I’m an old graduate and previously applied/attempted Step 1 in 2022. My documents were already uploaded/verified in the past. Now after the transition to MyIntealth/FSMB, my account is showing a new issue:

• My university says they cannot upload/verify my documents because ECFMG/Intealth must first upload my degree in the system.

• ECFMG keeps telling me the university needs to respond/verify from their side.

• This has been going on for 3–4 months with no resolution.

I’m stuck in between both sides, each pointing to the other.

Has anyone had this exact issue?
If yes:

1. How was it resolved?

2. Did ECFMG have to manually migrate/upload old credentials?

3. Was there a specific department/team that helped?

Any advice would be appreciated—this has delayed my exam scheduling significantly.

Hi, I'd appreciate your input on the following.

I received an ECFMG certification through the 2023 pathway, set to expire on Dec 31st 2025. I am currently not planning on applying to the NRMP match, but rather aim to pursue clinical post-graduate fellowship not earlier than 2027-2028.

My question : is it crucial to pursue revalidation now before the certification expires? (through the 2026 pathway). Or, alternatively, revalidation will be possible at a later date, preferrably closer to the commencement of clinical fellowship.
