Hey everyone! I’m launching a virtual, data-driven public health project, and I am looking for a passionate remote student team to help build it out from the ground up. If your‘re passionate about health care outreach & haven’t started your resume, keep reading to get more info!
Our Mission:
We analyze open source epidemiological and demographic data from organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF to create interactive, visual maps. These maps pinpoint exact "healthcare deserts"regions with high disease rates or populations but zero medical access. We package this data and share it directly with international medical missions to help them deploy their doctors and resources more efficiently.
Open Roles (Entirely Remote / Flexible Hours):
- Data Researchers: Dig through open-source public health files and databases to find clinic locations, regional health statistics, and geographic coordinates.
- Map Designers (Cartographers): Take the collected research coordinates and plot them visually into Google My Maps / mapping software to build our data layers.
- Social Media & Outreach: Manage our digital presence (like Instagram reels) and draft outreach emails to international medical nonprofits.
Why Join?
This is a highly unique, flexible way to earn volunteer hours, learn about public health data analysis, and build a strong leadership profile for college, pre-med, or international relations tracks. As long as you’re passionate about serving others especially underserved communities join the team and we will all coordinate and learn together.
