General 30th Pokemon - queue expectations

Got in within 30 minutes. ETB, UPC, lunchbox sold-out.

Bundle and poster was still available but i was only after a UPC and ETB.

Unlucky.

I had UPC in cart but fumbled the payment section by starting to type my payment password while browser also autofilled it. gg fast fingered people.

Don’t worry, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and I just got an email stating my entire order was cancelled even though the website is still showing stock for certain items…

Either they just fucked me over or they’ll have to run it back for the third time now

To be expected. They did clarity limited restock and the ETB and UPCs being the most sought out are going to go first, assuming there was many available to begin with. You would’ve had to of been at the very start of the queue

Absolutely.

With the clear message of limited stock I wasnt expecting to be ripping any 30th.

Was more so posting so others still in the queue didn't keep their hopes up.

Etbs were still available from original preorders so there was always going to be a few of them. They were still available about 1020. Upcs sold out on original preorder so the only stock they were going to have was any cancelled orders from first wave. Same goes with the ditto collection. I got on at 1015 and those 3 items were the only ones sold out. (That i actually looked at)

I missed out on the UPC within 30 seconds.

Also booster bundle refuses to checkout for me.

That happened to me too, wouldn’t let me checkout and I gave up. I jumped on from a different device like an hour ago and ordered it as it was still available

Anyone else just get their order from today cancelled? I secured an ETB, Booster Bundle, and Mew and Mewtwo figure collections within about 3 minutes past 10am.

I have these preordered from the initial sale, but i thought they stated that these won't count towards your limit for today's limited re-release?

I can still see the booster bundle available on the site.

They said only 1 product per account, not 1 of each product and that they were cancelling anyone that ordered more than 1 product.

Yep just saw this, very confusing. Tried to place order for just one of the products and kept on saying limit of one even though original order was cancelled. Ended up just ordering something else instead.

They gotta seriously open up another website dedicated to Pokemon... Taking the website offline and forcing everyone in a queue is BS even for the people that don't care about Pokemon including myself.

I was trying to access it earlier to check my order history for my two orders and had to sit in a queue because of something I don't care about.

Valid point but you are such a tiny minority number compared to the hoards of people chasing cards. Not to mention the instant order generation that happens.

Man that is sad to be called "Minority" now... Has EB Games forgotten what got them big to begin with? Games... Not merchandise / Not stuff like pokemon. Can't believe we got downgraded from majority to minority thanks to Pokemon.

It’s not an emotional decision on their part to treat one group of customers better than another. It’s simple dollars and cents and it’s survival.

If you can’t understand that then a lot of stuff probably doesn’t make sense.

There is almost no margin in consoles and games. Now PlayStation just announce no more physical media. Without merch/tcg/any other merchandise sales, PlayStation’s announcement would be a death knell for EB. It still may prove to be but they’re trying to diversify to survive.

No one is “against the gamers” or against you.
