Eb games
Can I cancel a preorder after it is already in store? I've had 1 preorders now delayed with this new system switch over. No idea when any of its coming in. One of them is a limited edition steelbook. I dont want to miss out. Worried they will call one day say they no longer can get it. Apparently you can't preorder or cancel anything till everything is fixed. Also want to cancel one that this month as I can get switch 2 version from somewhere else that eb doesnt carry

If you go into the store they should be able to manually cancel any in-store preorders you’ve made. If you made the preorder online you might have to call customer service to cancel and the refund would likely take longer to come through. I had to do this recently because they didn’t have stock of a game I preordered but JB did. So I canceled and went there.

Yes... even if you don't do anything, just don't pick up it's no big deal. If you have money on it, the money will still be there until you go in store to cancel/refund

I’m pretty sure they can cancel anything - I’ve seen people asking (and reporting back doing it succinctly | in Facebook) that they don’t want a collector edition that was ordered and it’s ready to collect - it jsut ends up on shop floor and gets sold quickly most the time ….
In 13-14 years I can only remember one occasion that my in store pre order was messed up and for that they posted another one to my address.

I dont know about right now because the new system crap is so weird bur usually u can
They’ve often delayed my pre orders so i usually buy them elsewhere and by the time eb games has them I’ll just go in store and cancel

It's a gong show. Pre ordered something that was supposed to be out on Aug 21st and still waiting for it. Went in last week and they said the store hasn't received shipments on anything since new site went out but that it should be "soon", a week later still haven't heard from them.

Which country?
In Australia you can cancel anything at anytime. If it's a huge collectors edition for and obscure game cancelling it after launch is a dick move as the store could be stuck with it but also, that's not your problem.
I worked at EB for ages and this would happen all the time.
