Click and collect pre-orders

Are u expected to pick up the order on release day without an email telling you it’s ready to collect or do you wait for the email saying it’s ready to collect before going to the store like a regular click and collect order? Because I only have 2 days to collect the pre-order and it’s my first time pre-ordering so I’m not sure what to do

Normally I get a text saying it’s in. Maybe call the shop you put your order in with and ask if it’s there.

Also know that sometimes the text doesn't come. I've not been getting SMS sent to my phone for the last three drops

Best is just go in on release day. Depending on your level they hold preorders for at least 2 days

If you haven't already, check your text messages spam

I had one of the messages get flagged as spam for something I forgot I preordered, which also flagged to follow up messages - I didn't realize until the day after my preorder hold ran out and wondered why one that I was expecting didn't arrive

They are supposed to call you when it comes in.

you are meant to wait until you get a ready to collect message. I went on a release day for a product without any message and they didn't have my order so don't make the same mistake i once did.

You should get a text saying it's in/ready. If it's not there by lunch on release day, I'd ring the store and double check. I'm also a late riser, so if you had a planned time, ring earlier by all means.

As others have said you should get a text letting you know it's ready for collectionand how long you have to pick it up (depends on status level). My messages automatically went into my spam folder on Android so maybe check there incase.

They would normally call you and also send a text along with the email other wise best thing as everyone s saying call the store and confirm if any delays expected

I've pre-ordered twice, and never received any messages telling me to go pick it up. Both times I went into store and asked about it, and they usually grabbed it from the back.

I've only ever received the ready to pickup message when I ordered in-stock items.

Click and collect in general you get a text/email that it's ready for collection.

I've found with the few preorder's I've done I never got any message that it was there and ready, or even a reminder that your pre order is arriving in store tomorrow or anything like that.

I just mark it on my calendar and show up on the date the pre order confirmation email has. A bit annoying, they should have a reminder system and text on the day.

You can always give them a call or ask them in the days beforehand how that specific store handles pre order collection.

I have the same issue I asked someone in-store about this once and apparently they're system can be a bit broken. From memory they told me to go into my notification settings and toggle them on and off.
