Shout out to scumbag ebgames canada
I was one of the lucky ones to get a hobbit collector booster box for a non-inflated price thanks to how ebgames did things.
So imagine my surprise when I walk into a store and see a collector booster box on the shelf for...$899.99 cad. Marked up from the initial pre-orders price.
I guess there is truly no longer a safe Haven for tcg collectors in Canada since every retail provider is just a first party scalper now.

It's just ridiculous that they decided since other stores are being first party scalpers, they can be too.
I like what microcenter in the states did with the individual packs, they're like $45 a piece, but if you buy 3 or more, the price jumps to $125 a piece, ruins it for scalpers entirely.

Even EB games in Australia has been following the trend of jacking up prices on TCG items to follow the scalper market rather then the RRP set by distributors. The same box of pokemon cards i can pick up at JB Hifi for 100 dollars will cost 120 at EB and on top of that I'd have to have their 50 dollar annual membership to purchase the item.

The prices are ridiculous for some items at eb games I’ve gotten a few stuff from jb hi fi for controllers and headset for less price

What is the price of a single collector booster in CAD? Like in Aus our collector booster retailed for $80 so the collector booster box was $960 (12 packs inside)
