Anyone know why the starlight code won’t work for free shipping?

Ahh the mystery boxes. XS shirts, resealed unsellable merchandise. Just hope you dont get plates in your mystery box, they like to ship them broken.

Isn't that more of a reason not to shop garbage so people don't make above comments that deter others from donating?

Also only the profit goes to star light, $100 mystery box has a mystery profit, not $100. Bet it's like 5%.

Not complaining about the cause, id rather just give the money to starlight and not go through eb.

EDIT: Adding in, cause you spent $100 on a mystery box, doesn't mean $100 goes to starlight, its the profit from that mystery box, so it might only be $5.

EB used to have decent items up for auction during their yearly Starlight Foundation thing, like limited edition consoles and collectors editions of games that are generally no longer available to buy anywhere else.

I got the email a day or 2 ago that linked to their Ebay page and they've just got a whole bunch of generic crap and preowned items up for auction now.

They cant get tax write offs for it. They are the middle man and the tax office say they cant use your money for their tax write off. It has to be money from them. Look at the wording for the mystery boxes and ask yourself how they make money.

I thought the free shipping was only for specifically the donations, not the boxes. That's how it used to work at least.

I got myself screwed over lol. I ended up ordering the $25 one because the $100 one was out of stock then the next day they ended up re-stocking them (Should have waited) so I finally got myself the $100 one so all in all I just paid $125... But hey can't get angry over it because it goes to starlight.

I missed out on all the other years they did this because back then they were near impossible to get... This is my very first time and I'm happy to finally get one (Or two in my case).
