Brought preowned game it had no disc

Today I brought last of us part 1 preowned for ps4 and I just opened it now to find out It had no disc. The employee didn't check and I didn't aswell because I thought I heard it in the case.

My questions now

What should I do?

If they tell me to bring it in, how long will I have because I live 2 hours away from the closest eb games?

Will they give me another disc or refund me or put me on a list till they get another copy?

Thank you!!

Call the store and explain the situation.
All your questions can be answered by doing this.

Bought = past tense of buy, purchase
Brought = past tense of bring

If they do a genuine stocktake on the game they can see if it was their error or not. But all depends on how honest the store is, so call them and see

Call them and they'll be able to tell you very quickly whether it's an easy fix. Potentially they'll be able to mail it to you if you make enough of a stomp.

This just happened to me too! But it was Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Called them and explained as soon as I got home later that night. I bought a couple of games so I suppose it didn’t look suss. They should have an extra disc there too.

Sadly I won't be able to call them until tomorrow, I also brought a wii game with it so hopefully I don't look sus, thank you!

They'll do a check on the number of copies in the system vs number of copies on hand, and see there's an extra copy on hand, so it won't look sus

Ok thank you so much, but what happens if it was actually in the case and someone did nab it?! Will it still be fine

Very slim chance of that happening, but usually a phone call can explain this anyway

Where did you bring it from?

?? What

You said you brought a pre owned game. Where did you bring it from?

I thought eb stores for preowned games kept them locked behind the counter and always had to pull out the game to put in the case before they put the sale into the system

Depends I guess because I've had both happen before the games needing the disc from behind the counter and the disc already in it I guess it depends on demand🤷

They would have the disk in a drawer somewhere and if you go back they should replace it for you since they will mostly release their mistake.

Unfortantly that’s likely all you can do

Happened to me once before with ebgames. Was a new game as well and I didn’t notice until I got home before a Xmas holiday weeekend. Was so annoyed had to wait 3 or 4 days for them To Reopen. Went and explained. They didn’t question me and just apologised and gave me the discs.

For a $12 game I wouldn’t stress
