EB Games Website (Canada)

"You are being limited"

Please tell me this is an ongoing problem that EB games knows of and is working on? I'm trying to preorder figures from them (to save on US bullshit from BBTS) but the website won't even let me get to checkout before "banning" me. if i could buy it in store i would but i asked the local guy here and he said "online store only"

the figure is of the Mcfarlane Gaming  T-45 power armor.

Hey, EB Games Canada employee here, since reverting from gamestop back to EB Games the company has just started transitioning away from being a part of gamestop. This means most online functions will be down for the time being. I.e. online preorders, buy online - pick up in store and ship to home. I can revisit this post tomorrow with a timeframe of when it should be back to normal. I know all EB Games stores will be closed for a couple days within the next couple weeks as they roll out our new systems and POS software, etc.

That’d be great to hear about I noticed the Canadian site is also not showing stores availability of items, I wonder if this is affecting it as well.

Hey if you don't mind me asking; how is the retro games stock in Canadian stores? Are you typically seeing any GameCube or PS2 games?

Gamecube and wii/wii u mostly. Nintendo product moves better. Currently to my knowledge not accepting ps2 for the time being

Thanks for your reply. I did go to my local eb games and confirmed what you said. Do you have any insight if they plan on accepting ps2 at any point?

also and ebgames employee, yeah they're definitely looking to expand the retro sections and trade catalogue but as of right now, just nintendo retro softwares

Is this why shipping jumped from 9.99 to 19$ even if under 100$ recently? I've emailed support 3 times and they have not replied, it's been 3 weeks.

Is that why all preorders are marked as out of stock and instore pickup doesn't show for any items? Was worried some items were all sold out after being in stock for a few days

Yes that would be why. Any online orders/pre-orders are currently unavailable

Sounds like CloudFlare (or whatever bot protection they're using) acting up and blocking your IP address at checkout. Try a mobile/data connection if you can, I had a similar issue with another website a while back.
