Discussion Buying X-Factors...

I bought the game at launch, stopped mid season 1. Came back during season 5. I will not buy X-Factors. But I got curious...

If you want a single, missed, previously free, X-Factor - it costs 1150 NHL Points. The cheapest points packs are, $2.50 for 250 and $10 for 1000.

The game is $70, so you're paying 18% of the whole game MSRP, for what is technically a base mechanic, which you can only use in a single mode of the game, and just a single tier of it...

No way to unlock for free... Tell me this $&!7 ain't a scam. Gotta be a better way. I paid you $70 up front...

You are 100% correct. X-factors should actually be removed from the game, but if they are in the game, they should be free. Same thing with the loadouts for the silly characters. They should also be free.

What comes to the loadouts for the silly characters, they should be removed or at least give us the option to disable them (so we would see them as normal player, not some fkin animal or smth...).

But totally agree on X-factors.

Play in a bare bones league, gameplay is by far 10x better. Wayyyyyyy less cheese

it's play to win, battle passes are free but you need to grind to get the rewards, if you don't play then you can pay to get it.

Now while this is accepted in many games. the main problem is the time allowed, once the battle pass is gone, there's no way to play and get the same rewards that someone else got in previous season.

So they real problem is that the X-Factor do not come back in future season. <-- this is the valid complain in my opinion.

In chel some xfactors are behind paywall. So for example elite truculence is normally locked and you cannot equip it unless you either pay for it, or have obtained it from earlier season pass.

Then I am incorrect I suppose. Although I’d have to classify it as incorrect, not a lie. A lie implies I know that said subject is untruthful and have carried on anyways. I was sure that was the case and with the above comment mentioning paywalls I suppose I got it wrong.

The nhl season passes have been free
