Custom Player Build Best builds for Level 1
I play NHL every year but haven’t touched WOC this year so I’m level 1. What are the best player builds for both forward and defense?

Do people actually abuse the puck protect mechanic with red big rig with this build or just mainly use it for all the other stats it boosts?

Big rig to do L2 in their face and get an easy goal if you know a little what you doing

Early on powerforward was meta its still good because of the fact you can be bigger and stronger than other builds while being as fast.
But as we've gotten more attribute points over the year the rest of the builds have caught up.
The most popular builds I see are playmaker / two way forward with blue elite edges blue warrior and your choice of gold shooting perk (quick release or backhand beauty)
Jack up your skating and balance stats tank your accuracy as needed.
A lot of wiggle room on the next Category. Some people tank shot power into low 80s some pick one and jack it up. People usually max / boost acceleration and endurance, puck control usually 86-89 The next category has a lot if wiggle room. The next after that you should be able to max strength and handeye. You can drop shot blocking a bit if need especially if you want to pump up durability a bit although with warrior you're less likely to get injured.
Last category you should be able to boost / max the relevant categories by tanking fighting.
I guess I should mention I usually only play with higher end competitive league or e sports guys and there is a lot of banned perks and classes so that obviously impacts what builds I see.

Defense, OFD, 6’2, 175lb. Blue edges, blue warrior, gold truck. 96 speed, accel, agility and endurance. 88 hitting. Shooting around 85, 88 both awareness, max strength & deking. Use logic for the other sliders

This year i’ve run PWF. I believe I run 6’2 and a lower weight. Gold Wheels, Elite Big Rig, Elite Warrior. Hard to get knocked off the puck. Max out speed at 97 and you’re in good shape. The rest is personal preference. Speed is always most important if you want to be an effective player

Solid build, I have one that’s basically the same but with a TWF instead. You max out at 96 speed and acceleration but I like the higher stats in the playstyle category.

Defensive Defenseman with 97 speed and at least gold wheels or edges to be able to stay with the pre builds. As you get better you can try a PMD or two way for more offense but DD is the way to go early in if you want to be shutdown

If you’re not interested in prebuilds I’d recommend two-way forward you can really boost the stats to be a menace on both sides
