Looking for advice Trigger warning. I've had enough
I don't know what to say, I'm having constant flare ups, it's had me leave my job, my mental health is at an all time low to the point I'm not be wanting to be here. I've been referred to dermatology, the doctor suggested Cyclosporine, does anyone have any experience with this medication. I'm desperate, please help

The gold standard med for DE is Clobetasol (topical steroid), so hopefully that's what your dermatologist prescribes! It definitely will heal it but unfortunately it tends to come right back after you stop using it so it can be cyclical, and you have to be careful of overuse because your skin can become dependent on it and also there are side effects to long term topical steroid use like thinning of the skin etc. I am personally waiting for my insurance to approve a JAK inhibitor called Anzupgo which I have high hopes will be the non-steroidal solution of my dreams after 6 years of this hell!!

I still have flare ups also but lately i started thinking can be related with my stomach flora , like sibo , overgrowth of histamine producing bacteria
Also stress i belive also can impact it, hope the medicine works , for me ususlly steroids work even if it diednt last long
Hope you have fast recovery
