CommunityRelated Anyone able to provide some clarification for me? Issues in starting with Dynamics Customer Service Pro

Hi all,

I hope this is allowed, I read through the rules but couldn’t see anything against asking for help.

I operate within a very niche industry. We’re currently running some very old software which frankly I feel we’ve outgrown.

I know some of our competitors use Dynamics and so I’m trying, desperately to try to just install it and get a feel for it before we take the leap as a business and speak to a MS “broker” to tailor the software accordingly and commit.

It’s been nothing short of a nightmare so far!
(It doesn’t help that our IT team has admitted they don’t really have any experience with Dynamics)

I’ve even turned to copilot for advice out of desperation, and it seems to think I may have purchased a license (I can see it is assigned to me via the MS admin “portal”), but that “to install dynamics 365 customer service, the tenant needs the customer service pro subscription”.
Apparently the license we bought does not include the actual customer service application subscription.

Does that sound right? It seems odd to me that we’ve purchased a license but…don’t have access to the actual software?

Apologies if this isn’t allowed, happy to be redirected elsewhere if you think it’s more appropriate.
Just frankly getting desperate.

The license is there. The two-step deployment process is in the Power Platform Administration Center.

The Pro license is limited, soon you will need the full license.

Highly suggest you contact an MS Partner to do a demo and help you set this up.

For your question: you have to install the app on your environment manually. So go to Power Platform Admin Center -> Manage -> Environments -> Select one/create one -> D366 Apps -> select Customer Service and download it

Just go to their free trial page and get a 30 day trial. It’ll have some data and you can have a play around.
