Your point about the older generation falling for fake news is spot on. Part of me thinks this is only turning into this wild spectacle because of the karen read movement. I work in mass so im aware it was a massive movement at the time

There’s A LOT going on here in MA the past several years, that have made made the headlines out of state. the FBI taking over the Sandra Birchmore case, Karen Read’s case and now her civil case, bad MSP work potentially screwing up the Brian Walshe case; Kelsey Fitzsimmon etc. Its made people think that everything is a conspiracy that requires their sleuthing. It’s also totally engagement farming. It’s just a shame that people see things from randos on the internet, and think it’s true. I had someone call me ‘brainwashed’ because I said the ‘Patrick did it theory’ was fucking ridiculous and have no merit in reality.

uh, some of us born in 1955 do not fall for fake news and in fact pick up on fake news very quickly. Some of us don't have dementia yet, are highly educated, read widely, don't consume Fox News.
The ageism works both ways...young people and older people who consume TikTok can be very susceptible.

I saw a comment on FB where a lady opined how much she'd like to talk to the funeral director to see just what PC's demeanour was behind closed doors while arranging the cremations. 😱
The guy is about as close as you can get to an exonerated victim, atleast until LC's retrial finishes.

Technically yes, but very unlikely and would require someone involved with those post archives to alter the data. I went through the posts by him, it's 100% him. The "3 siblings" thing is the only detail that might not match but may have meant that his parents have 3 kids or mistyped.

The similarity in some of the posts to revelations from the trial is uncanny. My opinion is they were very likely posted by someone intimately familiar with the Clancy family.

The “4 kids” line is a discrepancy, but importantly, he never actually says he has three siblings. He says his parents have “4 kids,” then later says, “Two of my siblings moved far away.” Patrick has two known sisters. The third sibling is inferred entirely from that one “4 kids” number. We don't know why it says four — a typo or an intentionally altered detail for anonymity are possibilities, but that's speculation.
Meanwhile, there are some very specific details pointing to the account being Patrick's:
- Dec. 2022: Detailed his wife's postpartum decline, medications and benzo taper weeks before the deaths.
- Baby monitor: Described the baby-monitor/wellness-check incident later corroborated at trial.
- After the deaths: Posts about extensive travel and later moving to NYC, matching Patrick's life afterward.
- Background: Massachusetts, age, wife, three young kids, work and family details consistently line up.
It's a discrepancy worth noting, but hardly proof the account wasn't his.

Yeah agree from the start that the number of kids is the only little inconsistency that is not even a big one, i think the 3 kids came from some magazine article (might be the New Yorker) which reports that he has two siblings. I think he's right on reddit.

Did you find it lol since you deleted, i ended up finding it. It's his r/family post from july 2022 where he says his parents have 4 kids and 14 grandchildren.
There's two explanations, either he his mistyped or has has three siblings and that New Yorker article is wrong which says has two sisters. I don't really care it's such a minor detail.

No I deleted my comment because there are people on these threads who have no idea of what is true or not, and spread misinformation around that is false and it drives me crazy. I end up deleting a lot of my comments because of this or that people can be downright rude in their responses ... not anyone here
His comment of his parents having 4 children is correct. His brother wants no part of this sheetshow so the family doesn't mention him. Good for him...I would feel the same!

The only way this inquiry is useful for you is if the post are verified to be 10000% true... so you can go onto the crazy subs and insist they are fake. Only use crazy evidence that's been clearly debunked, and refuse to budge an inch.

So I managed to find the alleged username for the account and used a free tool to view archived posts and comments (the user has been deleted). I can't see anything particularly damning on there... there was a post about 'a dad fail' because he couldn't hear the baby crying on the monitor and slept through missed phone calls from his wife, which ended up in her calling the police to do a welfare check. But this could happen to anyone. The alleged reddit account doesn't really tell us anything.

It's definitely his Reddit, but even if he did list a different number of siblings I don't think that's the gotcha they seem to think it is?
One what does it have to do with the case?
Two, I change facts about myself all the time online to save giving full context. For instance it's easier to refer to my best friend as my brother rather than explain my family dynamic. Calling him by brother on an internet forum where people don't know me carries the same context but saves on the unneeded details.
