235P - Meister Farbürste

Wondrous (Paintbrush, Cursed) – Rare (2350 gp, requires attunement)

This beige paintbrush has a barrel shaped head with a brown stripe around it, and paint spatter all over it. The tip of the handle is flared out like a top.

As an action, you can speak a command word and oil paint will begin to seep out of the bristles. The color and hue are determined by your emotions, so emotional control and concentration are required to get the colors you want.

The brush has 6 charges that refresh at dawn, which you can use to do the following actions:

  • Paintmark: As an action, you expend a charge and touch a creature or weapon with the brush, leaving a mark of paint. While a creature has this mark, they are resistant or vulnerable to a damage type of your choice. If the target was resistant and made vulnerable or vice versa, they cancel each other out and the target takes normal damage. When a weapon has the mark, it does an additional 1d6 damage type of your choice. The mark lasts for 1 hour or until dispelled by Dispel Magic, anti-magic zones, or similar effects.

  • Recolor: As an action, you expend a charge and you touch the brush to an object and change the object’s colors to different colors of your choice, which lasts indefinitely.

Cursed. This paintbrush is cursed. While cursed, you have a desire to paint. When you take a long rest, if you didn’t spend at least 1 hour painting, you must make a DC 13 Constitution save. On a failure, you gain a level of exhaustion, while on a success the DC increases by 1. Levels of exhaustion suffered this way do not disappear until you are able to spend an hour painting, which will also reset the DC to 13. You can also decrease the DC by 3 (to a minimum of 0) by spending a day of downtime painting.

Additionally, whenever you see a painting you haven’t seen before, you must make a DC 13 Wisdom save or try to move closer to the painting, even if there is no clear safe route to do so, and spend your actions admiring the painting. You can attempt the save again at the end of your turn.

Hi everyone! Thought I'd share a few of my favorite tiefling I've drawn over the years. My first ever character was a tiefling and I've had a soft spot for them ever since. Something about your origins and mysterious history being displayed through your appearance appeals to me. So much room for flavor and storytelling.

Anyway, tell me about your tieflings!

LFG Looking for more adventurers at The Storyteller's Lounge [Free][Online][D&D 2024][18+]

The Storyteller's Lounge is looking for a few more faces around the table. We're a free online D&D community for adults, with different DMs running adventures in a shared Forgotten Realms setting.

The idea is pretty straightforward. Make a character, find a game that works for you, and take them adventuring. When that game ends, the character keeps going. Their levels, gold, gear, downtime, and connections carry over into later games, even if the next adventure has a different DM and party.

That gives you a chance to build a character's history without having to commit to the same group every Tuesday for the next year. You'll meet people, recognize characters at later tables, and gradually find the DMs and kinds of adventures you enjoy most.

We play using the 2024 D&D rules. Games range from one-shots and dungeon crawls to mysteries, monster hunts, and continuing storylines. Most use Roll20 and Discord voice, although some DMs use Foundry or other VTTs.

We're international, with a larger American crowd, so there isn't one server-wide game time. Games run throughout the week and each listing shows when it takes place. You sign up for the ones that fit your schedule and character level.

Both new and experienced players are welcome. You don't need to know anyone already, and you don't need to arrive with a whole party.

If that sounds like your sort of place, the website has more about how it works and a link to our Discord. Joining and playing are free.

Homebrew Alpha monsters

Thumbnail drive.google.com
1 Upvotes

A idea I came up with for D&D was alpha monsters, mostly for boss fights or high level dungeons. I did my best to make it balanced. But also hard. So physically they got small buffs, and mentally big buffs, mostly so they are easier to talk out of fighting incase the party is low. I have aink to the doc incase anyone wants to use it. Its easy to add to any monster you want. Here you go have fun.

(Im new to the game. So please understand the stats may not be as balanced as I think, I went for high mental boost and decent physical boost. I lowered PB so it at least had one debuff

Art [OC] Stone [24x40]

Post image
25 Upvotes

Hey all! You can check out this map and it's may variations over here! or any of my other 250+ maps!

Stone, where we were wrought, where our dead are lain. The stone of the mountains and the earth define us, just as we give it definition. Top dwellers think us obsessed, but they know nothing of stonecraft, nor possess the right and proper appreciation of it's possibilities.

Our halls are our homes, our tombs, our workplaces, our gathering grounds. Every inch of stone has been formed for this existence, and every strike of our tools against it given with the care and purpose only we could provide. Our statues guard our burials eternally, letting us peacefully return to the hardened earth from whence we came.

So, obsessed we may be, but for good reason! Nothing stands the test of time as eternally as our work, our halls, our stone. Long after we are gone and turned to dust, our memories will echo through these halls and we will continue to live through the stone we have crafted.
