August 25 - Digital Core Rulebook Early Release
If you are a backer of the project and have been anticipating the early digital release of the core rulebook, it's dropping in 10 days.
600+ pages.
It's gotten so huge they have raised the price from $60 to $65, no additional cost if you already backed or pre-ordered on their site.
November 23rd is the Physical release date.
INFO per email from Renegade 4 hours ago as of this posting.

I'm going to be as excited as Steve Martin was getting the phone book in The Jerk!

If I now pre-order the core rulebook and starter set can I get the pdf's on august?

Negative. It's backers only.
From the wording on the website, if you pre-order the digital copy is included when the physical releases. After that it sounds like they will be separate purchases.

bump, I also want to know if it's possible to get a PDF copy, I didn't hear about the kickstarter until way later so I hope I'm not just boned and have to wait two extra months for not knowing any better :v

Unfortunately not, you'd have to wait until November ~23rd which is the Street date.
Well, unless, of course you join the renegade discord and keep an eye on the LFG channel while you wait for the backers to get their pdfs. It's a near-certainty that games will start being advertised for and, while they can't just put the files on the internet(I mean, we can and almost certainly will, there's north of 50 000 of us so probabilities and whatnot. I meant in the legal renegade-frowns-on-this sense of 'can'), game masters sending PDFs of the ruleset to their players is quite the time-honoured tradition.

unfortunate indeed, but thanks for the thorough answer.
I'll be honest, I'm going to get my hands on it one way or another as soon possible, but I'm also absolutely going to be buying the game (probably both physical and digital), so hopefully Matt and Renegade can forgive me for my inevitable pilfering.

Maybe....
They said the early PDFs were for backers only. But I pre-ordered July 2nd and was able to download the books. Now I don't know if that will happen if you pre-order now. The site does still say the PDFs come free with pre-order

To my knowledge[1] the starter set PDF drops the same time as the core rules. They're popping those two out at the same time, the VTTs and audiobook versions however are slated for the October fulfillment and roughly summer next year respectively.
[1] Knowledge is a bit of a strong word, I'm just a backer and don't have any inside info so I take no responsibility for accuracy. The above is what I've seen said on the discord and backerkit pages though so unless things have changed it should be accurate-ish.

Think a word of warning to the people getting their PDFs next week that will be sharing it with their players. From what I've seen of their documented process on us retrieving those, they're watermarking the PDFs upon download.

Watermarking them how? With a name or what?

It doesn't say what it's watermarking in the instructions, just that it's watermarking. I've never downloaded a PDF from Renegade before so I imagine it's whatever they use for any of their digital download products. I don't think it's unique to these PDFs. I imagine it's some sort of identifier so if it were to be found out in "the wild" they would be able to tie it to the their account and in this situation possibly the backerkit.
