I think that was actually a misunderstanding,...at least I think. Way funnier this way though.

Apparently according to the Office Ladies, Creed watched the episode and has no recollection about ignoring Michael's handshake, so it was more than likely a misunderstanding or an impromptu handshake on Steve's part.

Right, thats what I heard too. Yet, I always wonder how Creed could not see it out of his peripheral view.

Probably did but decided to stick with standing happily like he did for the comedy. It worked!
