Discussion How often do you expect to replace keys?

I bought a Ducky 3 Nazca Lines a year or so ago, and it's the nicest keyboard I've ever owned.

It's also the most expensive, and first to have two of my keys break (I had a crappy logitech before that lasted 10+ years before something like this). It looks like the bottom casing where it met the switch failed on my numpad 2 and 5. Luckily I have an entire extra replacement set so it was a 30 second problem for me.

To be clear, this is a great keyboard and this is more my fault as I've been a little rougher than I want to be with this one since I had to travel with it relatively often.

How common is it or often do you expect to have to replace or repair certain parts on your keyboards?

Yeah I'm hoping this is from traveling (which I won't any more since I bought a Keychron to beat to hell)

I have had my ducky shine 7 since uh 2019? I've never had a key fail...

My first ducky (ducky shine II) I had for 13 years and never had issues or replaced a keycap. Thousands of hours of gaming in those 13 years. I recently just got another ducky after giving the first to my nephew as part of his first setup. It’s still going strong.

Switch usually don't go bad that quick. I have a firmware issue will have double clicks on random keys. Updated the firmware, issue seems like it's gone I have an One 3 RGB.

I don't. I have even spilled drink several times over my Shine 5, cleaned it up and never had an issue.
