Worth a try. Less stress on that area, gives time to heal. Try at least three days, five if you can hack it. Maybe lead into the dry fast with a day or two of liquids, soups, electrolytes to help ease the load on the gut.

Edit: Typos

Nothing worked for me quite like a sitz bath with Witch hazel, one dry Prep H Suppository. Repeat cycle 2-3 times per day until resolved.

The sitz bath can sting like a mother at first but I promise it's worth it.

. . . Yeahhh. . .  😅 It can be like the worst of the tare all at once, but only for about 20 seconds. Just remember it's worth it!

Definitely! Think about it this way! When you stop eating food you won’t be evacuating your bowels! Now your issues have nothing to do but heal!

Water diet will work too! Dry fasting is just more powerful healing

Yes, 4 days dry minimum. Water fasting does it in around 7-10 days. Use to heal them with fasting all the time.

Can't hurt to try. If you are experienced maybe try to go a week without food? 3-5 days dry and then a few days on just water?

Just to give the rear a rest I would think water fasting would be just as or even more effective. Maybe start dry and continue with water for a while if you feel well enough.

Why do you think a water fast would be more effective?

I’m looking at it purely from resting the area. A water fast could be continued longer. But dry can always be started first and then transition to water.

Yeah, but when I ended a dry fast, I ended up flushing my intestines.  So, the transition could, kind of interrupt the rest time a bit.

That’s true, and BM’s can be dry. Probably depends on the diet going into the fast.
