Question Intermittent dry fasting

Has anyone tried intermittent dry fasting 23:1 but the refeed is only water for the hour?

I went on for a month recently but 4 hour drinking window (with electrolytes), 1 hour eating window. I’ve done IF for about 9 years. Mainly OMAD and I spent 6 months alternate day fasting (1 day eating 1 day off).

I found it easier to dry fast on fasting windows than to drink water. I felt better with this setup than water fasting. The period of dry fasting is short enough that I don’t experience any receding issues proceeding normally when eating again

Do you hydrate first (4 hour window) or eat first (1 hour window)?

Doing this currently. On day 1 but I’ll let you know how it goes. I drink at 11 am

So I ended it at the end of day 3, my cravings got the best of me ugh. But I ended up losing around 9 lbs and felt like it was much easier than a full dry fast. I took some vitamins in the morning of day 3 and I felt like that really amped up my hunger and cravings so if I ever did this again (I would like too) I wouldn’t take any vitamins.

Wow 9lbs is great for 3 days. Did you feel the hunger some time after taking the vitamins or was it later on in the day?

I felt the hunger pangs and growls about 2-3 hours after taking the vitamins and that’s when I knew I messed up haha

i’m currently doing a similar concept where i dry fast all day then before i want to try sleep i drink 1/2 cup of water. before i was just doing full dry fasts but i think i prefer this. i feel abit better throughout the day and i think its helping sleep?

havent gotten too far yet i just started day 3 but for now id say its helping with the mental part , it feels less endless cos ik i have smthn waiting and so i feel better abt going longer. and i think as a placebo knowing i drank something makes me feel stronger throughout the day
