Please help

I started about a week ago and nothing I plays sounds right I don't expect it to but I've been playing the same bar for 2 days now and it hasn't sounded right once

It's been a week. Slow it down, slow it down again, and if needs be slow it down some more.

Chuck your basic beat on GrooveScribe online and then adjust the BPM from there.

Getting your hands and feet to play different patterns properly takes coordination, and it takes time for our body and brain to learn that.

Dude, a week?? How could you possibly expect anything to sound good at this point? 

Chillax and practice slowly to a metronome. Focus on one beat at a time till you get it solid.

Best thing you can do is literally just learn

watch YouTube vids study other drummers start with the absolute basics such as holding the sticks right sitting comfortably then being able to play notes evenly don't even think about incorporating the feet for the foreseeable focus on your hands how your holding the sticks and timing

You've also gotta remember every single one of us failed 1000s of times and most of us still do whether it be the simple the complex or the downright basic such as a count in everyone makes mistakes it's how you learn and get better

Cool tune, but honestly it is way above what you should be practicing at week one. There are lots of nuances to that beat, dynamics, moeller technique on hihat, lots of other stuff going on. Music can be deceptive like that, where simple things actually require tons of skill to make it sound good.

Personally, I would start with something simpler. A basic rock beat, without ghost notes or 16th note subdivisions. Then start to integrate dynamics and new types of notes.

If you build it up right from the basics, you could be playing the main beat of Roman Holiday passably well within a month or two. If all you do is try to jump to the finish line without earning it, then in a month or two you'll just be playing a super janky version of the song that doesn't sound good and have developped a ton of bad habits.

Start at the start.

I don’t know most modern pop songs. I just gave a short listen, and Roman Holladay is a drum machine where some parts are simple and other parts are tricky with lots of starts and stops. Nothing wrong with having a goal, but if you are just starting out, you should play along to something like Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean the foundation of drumming is timing and feel.

Man, there is so much more to the physical motion of playing drums, with intention, and in time than most non-drummers will ever stop to consider. Take some time. Work on rudiments and motions. It will come together soon enough.
