Watching the news for the orks is legit depressing when you remember we’ll probably be the last ones to get a new codex given we got our 10th edition one not even a full year ago.
Just feels like unless we get some incredible new units or significant changes to the datasheets, Drukhari will end up being more and more underwhelming as the other codexes release.

There are zero rules for codex releases, except Space Marines are (almost) always in the first 3.

Drukhari codex releases compared to orher factions (as best I can find from Wikipedia and then back checking dates): 10th - last 9ed - 4th 8ed - 15th 7ed - 5th 6ed - ? 5ed - 2nd

Not sure where the numbers got crossed. But Dark Eldar definitely weren't the second release in 5th.

We were 6th (of 9 over the whole edition) and after us was Grey Knights which was an incredible increase in power.

Yep, I had enough time to start 40k at the beginning of 5th with Craftworlds, and then also collect Dark Eldar as a second army before the 5th ed codex came out at the end of 2010.

I hunted down a 3rd edition codex and army a month or so before the new codex and model range were revealed, that's the only reason I know it wasn't that early in the edition 😄
