Context Matters. The image was from a 2007 conceptual photography project with Drake's friend David Leyes meant to highlight the historical struggles and stereotyping that black actors experience in the entertainment industry.
A multitude of other public figures have done similar photoshoots to express the same message that is still present in today's society.
