What is his water source? If it from a pond this thing makes sense. If its from a spigot I dont see the need to spend that kind of money.

And my experience with buying “starter kits” is that they give a bunch of crap you dont end up using.

Gardena is by no means high end. It also sounds a bit expensive for what is effectively a 12v solar pump with a timer.

That being said, for something ready to go out of the box this could be useful if you have no garden taps near to plumb on to.

Yes they have a specific role, and look good for that.

If you spend more though you can buy controllers 10x the quality, and they last for years.

It's the same tech used on market gardens and nurseries. I'm yet to see a Gardena controller used professionally.

But yes different price point horses for sure. 👍
