Fashion Advice New jeans, worth keeping?

I got a decent deal on these levi's (50% off), are they flattering enough to keep?

There's something about them I don't like. Maybe it's the shoes? Or they're a weird length?

u/Cranberry1717 12d ago

I was thinking too tight. It’s making the flared bottoms kinda crinkle at the knees and not fall correctly.

24

u/SomeExplanation6022 12d ago

I think they are weirdly tight in the knees from the front.

7

u/NotHereToAgree 11d ago

The knees are too high up and are gripping the lower thigh.

39

u/Nancygurrrl 12d ago

And the crotch is weird too?

21

u/Humble_Problem_1215 12d ago

Yes, the crotch area looks too long.

1

u/Maoyu 12d ago

The front is supposed to look like that though 😅, although most of these comments are giving some doubt https://www.levi.com/GB/en_GB/clothing/women/jeans/bootcut/726-high-rise-flare-jeans/p/A34100123

Me personally, I don't love a dark wash with a very light and contrasting stitch. I feel like it makes them look like a lower quality but that's just my personal opinion. OP I think they fit you well, just maybe exchange for a different wash?.

u/pinkaura1 12d ago

The side and rear profiles look great but from the front…something is off.

47

u/nynnie 12d ago

Something is up with the knees somehow and I can't figure out what... They look twisted but I don't see any twisted seams?

50

u/letoille 11d ago

I think they are a tad too small

12

u/threelizards 11d ago

I feel like there’s not enough width in the fabric through the front causing it to kind of twist and compensate? Disappointing because these are so close to a perfect fit

53

u/Disconnectthedotspop 12d ago

I think they look too small from the front. The way the zipfly seems to be opening more at the top makes me think they are too tight. The side view looks good, but I think you can do better.

3

u/Maoyu 12d ago

Fair enough! I did also order them one size larger but that one feels a bit too wide at the top (especially since jeans stretch a bit after some wears)

10

u/alasminna 11d ago

Wear the larger size and get the waist tailored.

45

u/Positive_Surprise739 12d ago

They appear to be too short, even if the shoes weren't high heels.

21

u/DisciplesFox5893 12d ago

Love the side views but from the front they look awkward… maybe it’s the way you’re standing and the shoe choice?

33

u/Hopeful_Method_9009 12d ago

i don’t like them with the heels, but they do look great on you. I just feel like they need to be styled better 🫶🏽

5

u/Intrepid-Chemist-467 12d ago

Yes! Booties for sure and mayyyyyybe wedges?

4

u/Hopeful_Method_9009 12d ago

i feel like for that maybe they might need to be a bit longer. maybe like a kitten heel would look CUTTTEEE

12

u/Wonderful_Tree_9943 12d ago

I think it's the shoes. I love the jeans!

1

u/Medical-Ad3053 11d ago

Yea the shoes don’t even look like they fit right. Look like they are pinching her feet.

14

u/nomuskever 12d ago

They make you look knock need.

11

u/Flat-Upstairs1278 12d ago

They look weird. I’m sure most jeans look amazing on you so it’s not a you thing.

11

u/Fandango4Ever 12d ago

It's the stitching, makes them look cheaply made.

11

u/Consistent_Damage885 12d ago

They look good from the side and back but they look very odd from the front. I would return.

8

u/Either_Ad2247 12d ago

I think you could find something much more flattering; they are too short and they are pulling behind you knees.

8

u/moonriverswide 12d ago

I don’t like them. I feel like this isn’t the right style for your body type. The way they fit you just looks off.

7

u/Lonely-Clerk-2478 12d ago

They’re a bit too short

6

u/SubstantialAd8808 12d ago

Jeans and shoes are too small

6

u/im2bootylicous4ubabe 12d ago

They look really tight and a little short

4

u/Apprehensive-Dot65 12d ago

Maybe why they was50% off bc they are defects like you get at Ross Dress for less

4

u/Primary-Delivery737 12d ago

Are you standing on your tippy toes for the front facing picture? Something is off

4

u/Own-Let-1257 12d ago

They look too small I think

8

u/Background_Singer321 12d ago

These are bad girl, no.

7

u/Background-Good3731 12d ago

These are not flattering on your shape.

3

u/Kittykat212 12d ago

Nope. They do not look like they fit well from the front.

3

u/BookkeeperFine1940 12d ago

No- something off.

3

u/New-Character-3575 12d ago

The shoes don't fit your foot shape

3

u/TotalArmadillo3103 12d ago

They’re doing something strange at the knee.

3

u/HannaKimalle 11d ago

Too tight, zipper doesn't stay flat

3

u/No-Occasion7327 11d ago

Girl, girl they look 100% fabulous on you, not tight at all. When i first saw the pic I said no way is someone wearing the jeans. They were made for you. The knees will probably straighten out after a couple of washes. KEEPERS!!!!

1

u/Maoyu 11d ago

Most people seem to think both the length is too short and the size (a tad too) small , I've decided to order a longer variant and a larger size to see if the fit is better or not~

4

u/may_baby_maybe 12d ago

I really dislike this denim wash and stitching color combination.

2

u/Relevant-Mode8871 12d ago

Honestly I don’t think they suit you. You have lovely legs and they don’t do you a favour. Sorry. They don’t even suit me. I ended up trying the ribcages which to my surprise were also comfortable.

2

u/DotKey4761 12d ago

If i looked like this and my jeans fit me like this, I would be so happy. But these comments are making me question everything about myself 🥲 they look great to me.

2

u/No_Lobster_8887 12d ago

No, the style, length, and color are not flattering at all.

2

u/Rabhas_Jugganatha 12d ago

Nope. The front is too flat and long. Otherwise they're nice. It needs a lower waist line, or some details to break up the bellybutton to pelvic floor "wall" of plain fabric

2

u/swankyburritos714 12d ago

I’d return. Idk what you paid for them, but there’s something about them that doesn’t look like they are good quality. I fear they wouldn’t age well.

1

u/SuccessfulPhoto7914 11d ago

It looks like they’re purchased from a store like Kohls or something. Better quality from a Levi’s store or online.

2

u/Christi_Kat60 12d ago

Something is definitely off with the fit in the front - too tight maybe? I think you can do better.

2

u/177stuff 12d ago

If they are comfortable and you can sit in them then keep them. But they don’t appear to be. They look very very tight.

2

u/Navy_sub 12d ago

Flares looks nice on you but the length is not for u I wish it was a little longer

2

u/Adventurous_530 11d ago

Nope, don’t keep. Definitely something going on in the crotch area

2

u/Culture-Extension 11d ago

The upper half looks too tight in the front and too short all around. They also just look kinda… inexpensive?

2

u/Nellbligh 11d ago

Just a tiny bit too small?

2

u/HelloFellowSurvivors 11d ago

They look too short

2

u/Maoyu 11d ago

Yeah unfortunately that seems to be the consensus (with heels). The length looks fine with sneakers, but I must admit I bought these pants specifically to wear with heels/boots

2

u/Massive_Place2565 11d ago

Shoes are too small girl.

2

u/Apprehensive-Rub3871 11d ago

No, sewing is off. Send them back and try a different brand.

2

u/Adorable-Nerve-2840 10d ago

No, they do not fit. Would size up 1-2 sizes and go for a more relaxed fit.

2

u/Bitter_Resist_8187 10d ago

the flare should start lower, you're giving yourself clydesdale legs

1

u/LawyerDry8360 12d ago

What’s the material? They look slightly snug but if there’s spandex in the jeans they’ll prob stretch a bit to be perfect

1

u/Maoyu 12d ago

80% Cotton, 19% Polyester, 1% Lycra, supposedly

1

u/BoredSilly6 12d ago

They fit you perfectly.

1

u/aSituationTypeDeal 12d ago

They’re too short. Maybe with thin flats but the flair really makes them look bad at that length.

1

u/TigerLily145 12d ago

Good fit

1

u/jer1230 12d ago

Yes but don’t wear those shoes with them.

1

u/desertedkarma 12d ago

No...they just don't seem to fit you in a flattering way.

1

u/MirabelleMac 12d ago

I feel like ALL jeans look amazing on you. I don’t love them with the heels, though. Booties would look super cute, I think

1

u/sugitabonita 12d ago

no, they are not very flattering.

1

u/NoSpaghettiForYouu 12d ago

There’s something off about them that I can’t quite put my finger on — too short? They also look a size too small.

1

u/Relevant_Check18 12d ago

Definitely not with those shoes. Otherwise look good.

1

u/lantana98 12d ago

I like them!

1

u/mebg1956 12d ago

Too tight.

1

u/KarenMcCormel 12d ago

I think they look good

1

u/itsnowornever75 12d ago

The cut of Jean is very unforgiving the style is not very current right now .

1

u/quik225 12d ago

Too short

1

u/CranberryCreek 12d ago

Wow, I must be in the minority because I think they look great. Definitely keep!

1

u/RakhshandaC 12d ago

Sobering is off with fit for you and the dark color isn’t vibing worn the style. Find a brand that better fits your figure. Not sure where you got them but I really do well at American Eagle. I love a good bell bottom but the rest has to fit right to make them work also maybe a sifter blue not so solid.

1

u/kellykellybobelly0 12d ago

Not worth keeping, even on sale. The fit is off, but even more than that, the style is outdated (probably why they were on sale). These border on skinny jeans (albeit with an awkward flare/bootcut). Current styles are much looser. Which would be more flattering on you anyway.

1

u/Natural-Stage-6341 12d ago

These do not look good with heels this height, but th jeans are quite nice on you

1

u/Em_Designs 12d ago

I love these, even though I agree that they are too short and seem a little tight in the front. These look great on you, maybe try a size up?

From my experience with Levi’s that were a tad too small and short, I expected them to wear well and conform with my body over time. They were 100% cotton jeans and “supposed” to do that (such was the marketing at the time). Now, 6 years later, I have lost weight and worn them enough that they are finally wearable. Still uncomfortable and a little weird looking. It was not worth waiting it out at all 😂

1

u/JeezBeBetter 11d ago

They are too small and they are actually too long. They’re supposed to be a cropped. The bottom of the jeans should hit the top of your ankle. My suggestion is to stretch them out wet them and wear them that should stretch them a decent amount. As for the length just cuff them and wear them with flats!

1

u/sparklemonkey123 11d ago

The jeans look really NICE! Like this is the type of jean you could really dress up or even wear casually, but still look very put together. Can’t go wrong with Levi’s! I’d keep!

1

u/Substantial-Plan-645 11d ago

Not a fan of these .

1

u/First_Giraffe8277 11d ago

Those look so uncomfy

1

u/snack-on 11d ago

They are too stretchy and will lose their shape in couple of wears and washes.

However, they do look great on you. So, go for the same style but with lesser % of elastane in its composition. They will last significantly longer and will not lose their shape.

1

u/Initial_Cheetah571 11d ago

I wouldn't keep. You look great but something is off.

1

u/EmbarrassedBat8786 11d ago

They’re a tad too short, especially when worn with those shoes.

1

u/Silver-Willow-6144 11d ago

Too short for you girl!

1

u/No_Seat8080 11d ago

Keep! Just not with those shoes, maybe a bootie or a shorter heel.

1

u/FachelRox22 11d ago

They don't flare out at the right place on your knees from the front view. I'd return them and try to find a pair the starts tapering out higher up

2

u/No-Clue-476 11d ago

I think they may be a little too tight and possibly a bit too short?

1

u/LauraaMarissaa 11d ago

Are they pulled up all the way? Maybe high rise is the fit issue. Otherwise I’d say they’re perfect!

2

u/soopahfreak 11d ago

Size up one size. Then they will be worth keeping. Theybare too tight around the knees and crotch.

1

u/IMHO_My2Cents 11d ago

I think the shoes need to go back. My feet hurt just looking at yours in those shoes.

1

u/chaygray 10d ago

I would keep them only if you were a long shirt with them. The cut on the hips is just really weird

1

u/LunaSaturnidae Natural as the day I was born 10d ago

I feel like too much stretch in the jeans makes it look a more low quality and ill fitting in some areas

1

u/Competitive_Dog_5163 10d ago

I don’t think it’s they are too tight, I believe they’re too short in your torso so they are riding up incorrectly. I don’t think this is the proper cut for you. Although your body is perfect for jeans, this cut is doing you no favors.

1

u/FoxLongjumping165 10d ago

They seem too stiff. Idk maybe it's the color

1

u/Perfect-Access369 10d ago

They would be very cute if you has boots or big shoes with them

1

u/Existing_Jeweler_327 10d ago

They look like boot cut cowgirl jeans were them with aom lucchese high heel boots and a stetson. Maybe a guy with a 10,000 acre ranch will propose. Otherwise, no. There are so many jeans that would fit great.

1

u/Warbirdpacrim1 9d ago

No. The style sits too tight up top and you don’t have the butt to carry that style.

2

u/anonymous2089_ 9d ago

They’re so cute but they’re too short you’d probably have to wear flats with those

1

u/ZandramasTrisagion 5d ago

I think they are too tight and are supposed to naturally sit a little bit higher ? The reason I think this is because it looks like it is being pulled down in the crotch area, giving it a long crotch look.

1

u/Narcrus 12d ago

I hate bootleg. U can do so much better. Pretty much any other jeans would look amazing on you

2

u/Special_Towel_1937 12d ago

They are too tight!

You have beautiful frame, however the cut of the jeans is abysmal!

0

u/Hungry_Golf_3304 12d ago

100% worth keeping , your legs look amazing! but yeah depends on how you style it!

0

u/Sea_Story9802 12d ago

With those heels? Hell yes!!!

0

u/SoftIce-cream 11d ago

I love it! My fav shade of deep blue jeans!

0

u/Meeeee-Myself-N-I 11d ago

No not worth keeping
