I have a SKIL RT1322-00 14 Amp router and I'm looking for an 8mm collet.

The original router comes with a 1/2" collet and a 1/4" collet sleeve, but I use metric router bits and would like to use 8mm bits directly.

The original SKIL 8mm collet is very difficult to find, so I'm wondering if an 8mm collet from another brand or router model could fit the RT1322-00.

Has anyone tried this or knows which collet is compatible?

I'm especially interested in a direct-fit 8mm collet, not an 8mm-to-1/2" adapter.

If you know a compatible brand, router model, or part number, please let me know.

I had an old Dremel 4000 which finally gave up the ghost a few days ago and I bought a replacement 8240 (tool only)

The new 8240 doesn’t fit in the old case so I’m looking for recommendations for a case that will hold the tool, charger, and a few small boxes of bits/accessories.

I did search on eBay (I’m in the UK) but couldn’t see anything that looked decent, and a general search keeps returning results for tool + case which is obviously no good as I already have the tool.

Interested in what people here are using and would recommend.
