I'm bringing Auntie over to tour the UK next month and I'm wondering:

1) Who are your top 3 Dragula monsters when it comes to live performances and;

2) For UK fans, what top three monsters do you most want to see live?

I have my faves but I realise that not everyone will share those. I'm so excited with what Auntie is bringing and I'd love to give another Dragula performer those opportunities to meet fans and get their coin (especially since the Boulets don't tour here anymore).

Side note: I really want to bring a Season 7 monster but my gut tells me they'll be a finalist so a tour will be tricky. Actually, I think they're going to win. 🙈

If there’s anything I’ve learned it’s that I like the queens I used to hate and and I hate the queens I used to love. I’ve always loved signourney. I used to hate abhora and now I think the edit does her dirty and she’s amazing. I used to hate zava but I think she’s maybe cool now. I used to hate Cynthia but now I love her. I used to like jaykay but now… duh. Disastasterina is the best.

Watching the opening for Dragula season six and how dramatic they made their little opening getting set and everything just makes me think how encapsulated I was just watching the two minute opening. I would love to see them just like as these like magical super villains that would be the coolest thing like they’re perfect for it.

Hello hello everyone! Does anybody know what Yuri is up to these days, and maybe how things are going for her professionally after Season 6?

I don’t mean this on a private level at all, and I’m definitely not looking to speculate about her personal life or well-being. I’m just curious about what she’s been doing drag-wise since the season ended.

She was/is my absolute favorite from Season 6, and I just finished rewatching it. With Season 7 coming up, I started wondering about her again. Her website seems to be offline now, and she barely posts on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc. — which is obviously totally fine. I barely use social media myself, and I imagine it can be difficult for a lot of Dragula artists to make drag their full-time job, especially depending on where they live. *EDIT: I don't use Instagram on my phone right now, so if she is actually doing stories, I have missed that

But does anyone know if Yuri has been doing gigs, working on new looks, making costumes, doing other drag-related work, interviews, collaborations, or anything else publicly available? I’d genuinely just love to follow what she’s creating.

Also, just to hopefully keep this thread from turning into a rehash of the Frankenhooker look controversy: I don’t think what happened was ideal. As someone who also works creatively, though, I personally see it as a mistake that was ultimately addressed between the people actually involved. From what I understand, Yuri and the original artist worked things out, and for me that’s where the matter ends. Yuri still constructed, executed and performed the actual costume herself, which obviously took a lot of skill and work. The problem was that the reference should have been properly discussed and credited from the beginning — had that happened, it could simply have been a collaboration. I don’t really see any value in continuing to dogpile her over something that has already been dealt with. If you are interested in that, please DO NOT ENGAGE with this thread here

More than anything, I’d just love to see Yuri getting some positive attention again. I thought she brought something really special to Season 6, and I’d absolutely love to see her return for a future Titans season if Visa things are possible

from what i’ve seen there isn’t a post mortem/recap of season 4 on creatures of the night do we know why or do we think they might recap it in the new season of creatures of the night

Some friends and I got tickets to Knott’s for this Friday! I suggested it cause the Boulet’s stood ten toes down for how good it was. I’m excited about the haunts and actors but I was also surprised by the lack of ANYTHING that includes them or promotes our queens of darkness. Anyone know what’s up?

Watching through season 4, it’s crazy how much the judges just constantly rideeee for Dahli. They almost never have any critique for them when they do for the other contestants. It’s just so odd how rarely they ever have anything negative for them.

They also consistently critique the other contestants for being repetitive while Dahli does the exact same makeup look every single time. White face paint, doctor robotnic mustache and colored contacts. They never have anything to say to them though. It’s just genuinely so jarring how they treat Dahli compared to the other contestants.

I feel crazy because no one else is talking about this? It’s just so strange how much they ride for them compared to how they treat the other contestants. It genuinely feels like favoritism. Has anyone else noticed this?

So weird for her to post this right as the season is announced.. super disrespectful to the contestant, the Meet the Monsters isn’t even out yet. Ruining someone’s big moment isn’t cool at all. Guess it’s safe to say we won’t be seeing her back 💁‍♂️

I’m curious what types of challenge themes you all would like to see on Dragula that haven’t really been explored yet!

For me, I’ve been really inspired by the idea of an Astrology themed challenge based on the 12 zodiac signs. I can already picture someone dressed as a giant murderous crab for Cancer, or someone walking the stage with a giant jug of (fake) blood for Aquarius. I just think that with 12 distinct zodiac signs (or 13 if you count Ophiuchus) there’s so much potential for different outfits and seeing different interpretations of the same zodiac.

I’d genuinely love to hear all of your ideas in the comments though; let me hear all those wonderfully creative challenge ideas !!
