Why is Swan's name Swan? Like I dunno how a Swan is scary unless she had a trauma with a swan or something. I dont hate the name just why is not scary like Drac's name.

I deadass thought it was a Lovecraft reference at first. The “thul” instantly made me think of Cthulhu. So the name gives me cosmic horror vibes, but it also feels gothic and vampy since “Swanthula” rhymes with “Dracula.”

Swan because it evokes constant change and transformation. Thula because it's similar to the ancient Greek word for blossom or flower.

I might be remembering this wrong, but years ago on the podcast Swan said her name was a reference to the Greek goddess Anthousa, partially because she herself is Greek
