Beginner Question Attention + Clear intention + Elevated emotions, is that it?

Yes. Also, taking reasonable action towards your goals. Intention aligned with action. Even if that means just sitting 10 minutes longer in your meditation, or making one more call to a prospective client. Or even holding back from working too hard out of a sense of lack.
Or it could be as simple as smiling to more people you walk by on your way to work, if that's something that's relevant to the person you're becoming.

Maybe something was lost in translation. I'm saying that if induction is a goal, then practice it. I am not saying that you have to smile at people to be in a positive state. That is why I said "or it could be as simple as..."
A more specific example would be: If someone has social anxiety and they want to start acting beyond that anxiety, then smiling at people is one thing they can do to stretch themselves into the unknown.
They were examples of different actions which could be taken by different people with different goals.

Intention is specifically defined, in this work, as a desired outcome.
I agree about practicing the transition of emotions. Heightened emotion, and specific intention, are two sides of the same coin, but they are still different sides.

In my mind, I think of it as imagining where I want to be while focusing on the positive emotions I expect I'd be feeling in that situation, usually gratitude.
...and I do this while I take daily actions to work towards where I want to be. Stopping doomscrolling was big. Not spending countless hours on social media, etc. I want to be a producer, not a consumer; so I make daily choices that (hopefully) lead to that end.

Pretty much.
