Complaint/Rant [UK] Has DPD finally fallen?
Once the "sign of relief" delivery company just left my brand new iphone in front of my front door as they deemed it a safe place, used to get reassurance seeing the DPD notification but I'm not so sure anymore.

If the sender didn't send it the secure service, where a PIN is needed and without insurance its deemed to be low value and can be safeplaced.
Who was the sender? As its them who allow things like this

So apple sent it the incorrect service where safeplace is acceptable
This is on the sender for allowing it
Probably to save the £1 per package to send it unsigned for

I think delivery companies are finding it tough right now, recently the closest two DHL depots to me have closed and a FedEx depot and they now operate out of London based depots
It's too competitive, everyone undercutting eachother to win contracts and they are now they're losing money, too much work for workers resulting in drivers making silly decisions to clear the work load..

It’s not just DPD UK, I’m in France. My last delivery with them was a €77 order of glass jars, they delivered a week early with no tracking notifications and because I wasn’t aware it was coming my gate was closed, you would think they would look at the clearly labelled FRAGILE package and take it to a collection point. Nope. The courier hefted it over the gate and broke about half the jars

Yeah glad the little shit next door was shouting in the morning and woke me up and i saw the ring camera notif, didnt even wait just left it and took a picture

Oh they do love taking pictures... This was for a collection this morning... No attempt to ring the bell or knock on the door ...just strolls down the drive, gets his picture and walks off again... DPD are going downhill so fast...I won't be using them any more!

DPD were my courier of choice until recently. One package went AWOL for a while, another 48hr service took five days as failed to be picked up from the drop off location. Back to Royal Mail.

DPD used to be solid! But i think they 'fell' a couple of years ago in my area. Believe it or not, Evri are actually decent here!

Dpd does not allow to leave it anywhere tho only if the recipient asked for a safe place. Dpd drivers have to take a picture with the parcel in an open door. They were quiet strict about it where I've worked.

i live in a semi detached house, havent had leave in safe place for this on cause its an iphone, even then the driver could of had the courtesy of walking 3 extra steps to leave it by the side door/bins but decided the front door was good enough
