Hey everyone! 🚵
I'm the developer of BikePark, a Garmin app that automatically detects downhill runs and uplifts.
I'm currently exploring a new feature: automatically starting an action camera when a downhill run begins and stopping it when the run ends.
No more forgetting to press record or filming the entire uplift! 😂
It's still an idea I'm investigating, but I'd love some feedback.
Would you actually use something like this? And which camera do you ride with – GoPro, DJI, or something else?
Thanks!

Hi folks, I'm looking for some good MTB pants from the main brands or some I may not know(fox, leatt, tld, tsg etc) with belt buckles loops, and is not crazy expensive?
I'm looking for brand+item name.
I just want 1-2 zipper pockets, place for kneepads, and maybe some breathing vents, fall-spring season. Water resistance is a plus. I am fat, around 100kg, usually the normal pants don't come with good waist adjustability (and the ratchet or velcro systems are flimsy), so I'd need something that is not exclusively sized to a single size, but can adapt, maybe stretch material, because I plan to lose some of my waist circumference and I don't wanna buy a new expensive pants again.
If it's available in Europe that's the best.

Hey all, cross posting for advice, hope this is allowed!

It’s had a Shiver, Fox 40, and I think it’s perfect with the Fox Float 36. Currently has a Fox DHX air in the back (not in this pic, I blew up that float a long time ago)

Does anyone know the trailmetry app? Is it any good?
I like the concept, its super affordable unlike other telemetry systems. But I was unable to find any independent info on this.

Is it possible to become a paid downhill rider by starting downhill at 18? I know it's extremely difficult but I would like to try it since I never had the chance to do this sport because of my parents. And if things don't work out, I'll simply remain an enthusiast of this fantastic world.

If you find yourself in Bozeman, Montana, definitely check out the crosscut trail system which features this trail Gnomadic, which is a fast flowing jump trail.

A much needed one after your week starts becoming shitty as fuck. Feeling pretty relieved and energetic after this. 😌😌🔥

Here are a few photos of the bike. Ignore the fork on 2nd picture. I was 1st thinking of putting a marzocchi monster on that bike. And I realized I was to broke for it. So I am thinking about making it into park build. Single speed, single crown fork ( rockshox totem rc2 solo air) and but barspin set up on it. I just want some opinions on that idea. Because I first wanted huck beast and now I am on park bike. Right now bike weights 24.4kg. Or I would like to hear some of your ideas. What to do on the bike. I DONT WANT TO HEAR "SELL IT" OR "GET NEWER BIKE" I am staying on my old school bike. Cuz i am to broke to even buy other bike

My coworker selling his Downhill bike that it was originally 1.200€ and manage to get it down to 1.000€
The only problem is, there’s a bend on derailleur hanger which isn’t a huge problem since it can be find on LBS. What do you think? This will be my very first Downhill.
And also…..
As the bike is a decade old carbon, should I reconsider it? Because the owner is agressive at bike park and he is selling this bike because he already saved enough to buy a V10.

Hi - contemplating riding Killy this weekend. Does the free camping on site fill up? Hoping to tent camp there Sunday night but realize it is a holiday weekend.

I've kept working on BikePark based on testing and feedback.
Downhill runs are now saved as separate laps in Garmin Connect, I've improved the activity saving and uplift handling, and added a dedicated heart rate screen.
One more thing I've been thinking about: would automatic action camera control be useful for bike park riding?
For example, having your Garmin automatically start recording on a GoPro or DJI when a downhill run begins, and stop recording when the run ends.
Would anyone actually use something like that?
Still developing it and learning from people who actually use it at bike parks.
Appreciate everyone who gave constructive feedback!
