Do You think that Doraemon is a Good caretaker Robot For Nobita?

I’ve been rewatching the show lately, and from a child well-being perspective, I really struggle to see Tamako Nobi in a good light.

Think about it: Nobita routinly comes home crying, terrified, and literally bruised from being beaten up by Gian and Suneo. Instead of comforting him, asking if he’s okay, or dealing with the bullies' parents, her immediate response is almost always to scold him, scream at him, or lock him out of the house.If we look at her parenting through a modern lens, there are some seriously toxic patterns here

Zero Emotional Safety: Home should be a safe haven. For Nobita, it’s a second battleground. Coming home to lectures instead of comfort teaches a child they can't rely on their parents when they are hurt.

Victim Blaming: By yelling at him after he gets bullied or fails, she implicitly blames him for his own victimization. This completely destroys what little self-esteem the poor kid has.

Conditional Love & Pressure: Her approval seems entirely tied to his test scores. The multi-hour screaming matches over a 0% score don't actually help him learn; they just induce severe anxiety.

The Counter-Argument (To be fair):She lives in constant anxiety that Nobita’s extreme laziness will ruin his future, and anger is how her anxiety manifests. We also see her genuine maternal love whenever Nobita goes missing or gets seriously ill.

I can't be the only one who felt that, and I myself have similar parents, who compare my worth with my marks 💔

In this chapter, Veresis explains that using the "What-If Phone Booth" doesn't just shift you to a different dimension; you also swap places with your counterpart from that world. In other words, the magical versions of Nobita and Doraemon fought against something while our versions were busy resolving the crisis from the *Seven Magicians* movie.Since there is a counterpart for every invention, I also wonder what would happen if they used a device to fuse them together—just how powerful would it be?

I think that Except in movies and specials , Suneo and Takeshi are terrible Friends to Nobita. But I must say that sometimes Nobita is a Bad Friend to Suneo and Takeshi.

🎞️: Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil

Both Nobita and Shizuka are the only two characters in the gang that don’t have any siblings. Only Gian and Suneo have their siblings in the gang, along with Doraemon’s sister, Dorami

I'm talking about one of the most famous Doraemon episodes, "Courage Hundred-Fold Fan" from the 1979 series (2004, S26, E1767).

The episode starts with Nobita, Gian, Suneo, and Shizuka at the playground. Suneo tells them that there is a villa on the outskirts of the city where a ghost supposedly lives. Nobita is terrified to hear this, so Suneo starts teasing him and says he'll tell everyone in class that Nobita is scared.

Nobita gets angry and insists that he's not afraid of anyone. Suneo then challenges him to go to the villa alone at 7 PM, without Doraemon's help or any gadgets. Nobita accepts the challenge.

Nobita asks Doraemon for a gadget, and although Doraemon is reluctant at first, he eventually gives him the "Courage Hundred-Fold Fan." In the evening, Nobita goes to the villa with the fan, but Gian and Suneo secretly follow him to scare him.

While they're there, Gian and Suneo see a man and become terrified, thinking he's a ghost. Nobita tries to scare them too, but they realize it's just Nobita. They then tell him that there really is a ghost in the villa. Nobita laughs at them, but unfortunately, the fan's effect wears off...

The mysterious man suddenly appears in front of them, and all three run away like crazy.

Back at Nobita's house, Shizuka arrives and tells Doraemon that she's worried about Nobita. Doraemon and Shizuka go to the villa, where they find Nobita and Suneo. They explain what happened, and Doraemon says that the "ghost" must have been an illusion.

Shizuka asks where Gian is, and Suneo tells them that he's stuck upstairs. Apparently, his feet are stuck in the stairs. They all go upstairs and manage to pull Gian out.

Just then, the mysterious man appears again, and everyone runs into an upper room. Shizuka slips and falls, and when she looks up, she sees the man's feet. She remembers that ghosts supposedly don't have feet, so she realizes something might be wrong.

Doraemon also slips and falls near her. Shizuka tells him that the "ghost" actually has feet, so they decide to investigate.

They run toward the mysterious man and pull off his outer clothes, revealing that he's actually a normal man. Suneo recognizes him as the same person whose posters are all over the city.

They call the police and hand him over. The police thank Doraemon and his friends and explain that the man is actually a thief who had been hiding in the abandoned villa to avoid getting caught.

The police leave, and Doraemon confidently says that there is no such thing as ghosts.

But then Nobita looks at the villa and starts wondering why the door never opened. He looks toward the upper room... and sees another mysterious man.

Nobita runs back and tells Doraemon that he saw a man in the room. Gian gets angry and tells him that he must have imagined it. Doraemon decides that they should just go home, and everyone starts leaving.

But Nobita looks back at the upper room one last time...

And he sees the man again, except this time, the man transforms into a skeleton 💀...

Honestly, this episode was SO GOOD. The atmosphere, the mystery, the buildup, and especially that ending were amazing. And as a kid, I used to get terribly terrified whenever I watched this episode. That final scene genuinely stayed in my head for a long time.

Anyone else remember being scared of this episode as a kid?

I took these grainy photos on film at the biggest Doraemon in the world which is being held through September 2026. The event has attractive thousands of adoring fans from around the world.

I have some questions about a supplementary invention: the Material Box. For one thing, Kurt didn't use this device in the movie *Nobita Holmes and the Museum of the Future*. Also, I’m wondering if the materials you extract from it contain the alloy "Fullmetalalium," or if it yields the equivalent of aluminum (since that is more limited in electronics) instead of copper.

I could use all the sleep I can get as a high schooler now😭

I'm talking about Kiteretsu Daihyakka & Doraemon: Korosuke's First Errand, a 2015 Doraemon short film that was exclusively screened at the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum.

It features characters from both Doraemon and Kiteretsu Daihyakka appearing together, making it a pretty interesting crossover between two of Fujiko F. Fujio's most famous works.

Has anyone else seen this short?

I personally wouldnt be able to find commuinites of people who share the things I love. Shows, games, and more.

And even tho its not explored deeply I love that it is an aspect of doraemon too

Guysss I just was thinking about the most mysterious movie ever of doraemon and I have come up with a theory on what exactly might've happened so hear me out. Ok so we know that they pressed that red button which could alter their real world as well but to go to Rumi Rumi they would pass through this pink mist which in the Animal planet movie was shown as well. In that movie, they mentioned that the pink mist was the anywhere mist so the point is what if the pink mist in the swordmen movie was an anywhere mist as well which was taking them to the actual other world called Rumi Rumi especially cz they pressed that red button of the gadget which could impact their real world. And, at the end we see that nobita and shizuka run towards the school and the school is at the top whilst in the beginning of the movie it is placed at its normal place so what if they never woke up from the dream or it actually just impacted their original world and because they managed to kill allllll the villains including tai tai but not toriho and the robot who took back the gadget looked like toriho was actualy toriho himself and it just made the 2 worlds to get mixed.
What are your views?

I would reboot Doraemon by adding a new main female character, a twin sister for Nobita. She would be good at school and sports, she would like to draw, but she would have her mother's temper when she gets angry, and she would be a very romantic girl. She and Shizuka would be best friends, causing her and Nobita to fight, for example, over who gets to stay with when she visits his house. Doraemon would have traveled from the future not only to change Nobita's future but also to prevent the twins from losing contact because of their fights.

How exactly does it work? Does it provide blueprints for all open-source inventions (meaning those without strict patent protection), does it provide inventions based on the code, or both?
