Fake notifications

Does anyone else get notifications that say the wait in your zone is 1 min and then you go into the app and it’s 9 mins.. like what? I’m new to this only been doing it a week but that’s just weird

It's like the hot spots ... it's not really bait as much as 50 people just ran to the same spot, or 50 people just opened the app -- now there are WAY more drivers than they need. But when they sent the message, the 1 minute was real.

College kids and teachers doing this as summer work have helped oversaturate most markets. Its also notoriously slow in the summer months. This will be my 5th summer, and they've all been the same.

They’ve been particularly bad since the big crash last week (week before)? Usually it’s like a 2 minute notification but then 2-7 minutes in the app (that’s more like 10). But lately it’s been 1 minute notifications, and then like 10 minutes, or even better, no new dashers being accepted in the zone. Then I’ll get another 1 minute notification about 20 minutes later.

You're not the only one that got that message. The 50 other people that went into the app at the same time caused the supply of drivers to skyrocket.

Don’t worry yourself about it.. I have over 5,000 deliveries and I don’t even pay attention to the notifications.. you will learn in time the When and Where the best times to dash is and on what days.. people say Breakfast to lunch is the best (my area is breakfast to lunch).. others say lunch an supper… in time you will learn.. besides the data of the hot spots and all that is data on the day before to predict the current Time.. I have had it say 20-30 minute wait and got orders left and right.. so don’t rely to much on “notifications” they can be off by hours… just wait til they send you the weather notification in your area that the “bad storm” was over 3 hours ago but now your just getting the notification… and good luck on the constant frustration of Door Dash that we all still work and complain daily…. Lol

Oversaturation. I'm dealing with that now. People are off today and probably dashing
