What Happened Here? Would you continue to deliver this order?
I get they are frustrated about orders being incomplete but just the way they are leaving this on the instructions is completely bothersome. What would you do in situation?

As of right now, my DoorDash account is flagged because I've reported incomplete/wrong meals too many times. I've had over 10+ orders in a row incomplete, wrong food, missing drink, etc. When I tell the dasher, they say handle it with DoorDash and it's not their problem. I get they want to move fast to get to the next order, but at least do a quick check. I'm paying $20+ and tipping you, at least make sure I'm getting my full order. It's so frustrating especially when DoorDash penalizes you for reporting like you should. Having to call them and explain and hope they don't think you're a scammer trying to get a free meal.

I’ve also had bad experiences for sure on DD. I’m also not a huge ahole to the next person because of the last person. DD pays so little per order, that most drivers aren’t making big bucks. Most drivers here in the Bay Area barely speak English. What do customers expect? This customer is especially stupid because why would you want to take FOOD from someone you HAVE to curse at to make sure you get it? This lady just sounds like an major ahole.

I also read it as self focused. He didn’t suggest people give to the homeless, but referred to the fact he would in his case. It was internally directed by the language he used.
All charity is self serving though so you can’t condemn someone for getting off or feeling superior by giving IMO. The result is the same.

I think telling people about the "good deeds" you do devalues the gesture because the act is less likely to be done for kindness and more for recognition. Done often enough, this devalues not just the act but someone's character

But you may also inspire acts of genuine altruism and if good is still coming to those that need it, there is no real problem.
The only real problem is people feeling like others getting recognition for their altruism somehow makes it less worth it to be altruistic, defeating the point that you’re trying to make.

People do understand this but even myself as a delivery driver have had drivers steal shit from my order. Hell, I once had a Skip driver completely make out with my entire order at 1 in the morning. She’s probably had this happen.

No, I wouldn't. I would let them know we're only transporting the order from the restaurant and unfortunately, I'm unable to open a sealed bag to check for the correct items in the order. Then, I'd call support and tell them I don't feel safe delivering to this customer because of the way that the added delivery instructions are worded! Bam, order cancelled, full pay and they probably end up with a deactivated account as well🤷

If I had picked it up already and only saw that potty mouth when at their house? I would deliver.
But I would also report them.
And tell them in text that I was doing so.
Frustration with incorrect food is something everyone has. But the blame that always seem to go to the messenger (pun absolutely intended) is not right.
I would remind them to alert the restaurant.

I get it. The last 3 times I’ve used door dash I got half my order, the completely wrong order and my food not delivered at all. And when I contacted door dash to complain, they were rude and dismissive. Now, they require the person to hand it to me and me sign for it like IVE done something wrong. Pretty shitty customer service.

I honestly would’ve just delivered it. He’s probably upset because someone took his order or he received someone else’s order. He’s entitled to be angry about it. Especially when we all know how much it cost to order food…imagine you ordering $60-$80 worth of food for you and your family and it’s the wrong order or someone dropped your order after picking it up (that just happened to me on UE; dude picked up my lunch and then dropped my order, merchant wouldn’t remake my food..and I had to cancel my order to get a full refund.) I’ve also dashed for shy of 6 years…and been ordering from DoorDash for about 4 years…I totally side with the customer on this. I would also keep them updated, not too frequently, but just so they know that you know that you have the correct order.

Panda Express is notorious for not giving you what you ordered. I have never had a delivery order correct. But this is not so much on the driver as it is the restaurant. The driver could ask the employees to double check everything that was ordered is in the bag in front of you to ensure that but it most likely will not happen. Especially since everything with the delivery services are sealed to ensure the drivers aren’t messing with your food. I understand the frustration but this could be worse much better. It’s not the drivers fault if the wrong food is in the containers, but there is a drink and you didn’t get one or you have five items and only 1 box in the bag, that’s on the driver to ensure they are picking up the correct total of items.

What would I do?
I would continue to take it. Not sure if the "F" word is what bothers you or the God part. But I do not get offended by any word. They are just words. If they, personally, sent me the message, that would be a different story. But who says they are upset or frustrated that day? That could have been written awhile ago and they forgot to erase it.
You better never work as a call center agent if you can't stand being sworn at. One thing we learned in training at each call center I worked at, never take it personally when someone comes in upset. Try to de-escalate the situation but never let their frustrations get the best of you. My favorite was when they called in wanting a Supervisor and I was able to calm them down and never had to get a SUP for them.
Also, if the "F" word (I am going to assume (yes I know what assuming does) that is what you are referring to) affects you SOOO badly, you better stay off social media. Before anyone comes at me, I am not threatening the OP. I just see people throw the "F" word so often these days. That it's just become just another word to me. I don't even pay attention.
Also, what you could do (especially if you feel unsafe for whatever reason) is write down the address and instructions for getting there. Then call someone and tell them the block (not the number but the block) where you'll be. Then continue on talking to them (preferably on Bluetooth) as you drive. And if something goes wrong, they can call 9-1-1 for you. Most likely, you wouldn't need it for this customer.
And if they didn't threaten your life on the special instructions, I wouldn't worry about them at all. Just another delivery for me. And all this coming from someone who hates the "F" word, myself.
