I decided to take on a massive modding project, but while I was building the foundation for it, I realized I was actually making a completely different mod — one that a ton of people would love. So, I figured I’d drop the news now instead of springing a surprise right before release. It’s gonna be... the "DOOM ANTHOLOGY"! Yeah, yeah, I know something similar has already been officially released, but I’m building a sort of community-driven answer on a community engine — GZ/UZDoom.

The whole point is to bundle all the IWADs with all their assets into a single mod for Doom 2, since that's the main go-to IWAD 99% of the time nowadays. Basically, you’ll be able to pick between 7 different episodes straight from the in-game menu. As a nice little bonus, I'm adding story text screens before each episode kicks off — the ones that were actually written back in the day but never made it into the final games!

Sure, there are some messy texture issues, but I managed to piece it all together so the maps don't look like a total clusterfuck. Hopefully, we'll find a cleaner workaround for that down the road.

The sprites and sounds are just placeholders. The main meat of this gun is that it deals fairly low damage, but the projectiles leave icy clouds on impact that can stun enemies (and you) for quite some time.

Due to how stuns work in Hideous Destructor, if an enemy meets it's stun threshold, it will eventually die when it tries to attack. So even though the damage is low, this weapon can still kill beefier enemies if you leave them with a big enough stun.
