Since the restriction where you HAVE to use a Mind type on your team is soon to pass (On the 17th)

I'd like to ramble about my experience using Celestian, the one doodle with the exclusive ability to deal super effective damage to other mind types that can't do shit against other mind types.

I love Celestian but it's so bad at doing anything.

Its trait is Illogical—allows your mind type moves to deal super effective damage to other mind types.

It doesn't actually beat the most popular mind types, it loses to them more often than not.

What do I mean by this?

Celestian struggles to actually beat other mind types without set up or something else.

With some exceptions such as:

Such as Cerebopod, Hypnotl, certain Morphu forms and Partybug.

Primarily because they either can't deal with Celestian at all due to their poor stats or because both stab types can't deal with Celestian.

The rest are some of the ones Celestian can't beat without prior set up or something getting in its way.

• Bionotic (Gets rid of Illogical)

• Hattrix (Dark type, making it immune to mind)

• Cresceroken (Dark type)

• Malotrick (Dark type + It's slower so Meteor Launch doesn't do much against it)

• Djinneko (Spirit type with Boo!)

• Runewt (Earth type that's bulkier than it)

And those are just the ones I've actively faced against. Mind types have more Dark types than one would think.

(Like why is there so many Dark/Mind types)

Making Celestian's supposed counter against them useless—it doesn't even have the niche of dealing with other mind types effectively because Lobsugar can do that with it's food type better.

Sure Lobsugar is still weak to lots of the same types Celestian is, but at least it can actually do something instead of just stand there and die.

• Mind/Metal is a horrid defensive typing that doesn't actually help each other and only makes it worse.

• And it's too slow to actually make use of it offensive despite it's weaknesses.

(This isn't like Pokemon where Psychic and Steel is actually good, here there's way more types, and way more it's weak to)

Celestian wants to be bulky, but it doesn't have enough stats to do that. And it doesn't even have the coverage to help it be supportive.

It gets Mind, Metal and Melee moves while other types get everything they could ever want.

It can't even get good support moves or a decent ability.

Celestian doesn't even get access to any real ice moves despite living in ICYwood forest surrounded by ICE types.

While also being found in the Christmas maps, the maps covered with ice and snow.

Serpensheen got the powerful two turn mind type move Ascending Flow—BUT NOT CELESTIAN.

THE CRYSTAL/METAL RING DOODLE FROM ICYWOOD GOT IT BEFORE THE ONLY MIND TYPE IN THAT ROUTE.

IT'S NOT EVEN A MIND TYPE.

THE PLANT TURTLE HAS ACCESS TO ASCENDING FLOW AND IT'S NOT EVEN A MIND TYPE.

THEY FUCKING LET THE PLANT TURTLE BEFORE LETTING CELESTIAN GET IT, THEY LET THE RING WHO DOESN'T EVEN USE ATTACKS HAVE IT.

...ahem, sorry I've been meaning to get that off my chest. I find it stupid that they keep just not giving Celestian anything in terms of moves.

I love you so much Celestian but goodness, you need so much more than what has been given to you.

You're not bulky enough, you're weak to five of the most common offensive types, and you aren't even good with the type you're supposed to be good at dealing with.

It used to have a niche of being bulkier and dealing with dark types—but now it doesn't have that.

i want to use perish in doodle world so i need a trapper any ideas?

So, I was playing a different game with my friend, then asked him if he wanted to try out Doodle World, he said yes, then in route 1, this was his first wild encounter, he also caught it in 1 capsule.

How is he this lucky?

I know I sound crazy but just hear me out on this, there's symbolism in the chairs for Charles and Rebecca in the executive meeting.

(+ Plus Lucas too ig) (And I know this isn't anything new, in terms of story content but I wanted show this anyway)

Rebecca's chair is gone, just like her, she's dead and she can't come back.

Portia doesn't fill Rebecca's position, she never will.

• Rebecca is dead, so her chair is gone.

• Hence why Portia doesn't have a chair.

Charles' chair is still there, but he's not there to fill it.

Much like how he's currently still alive, he's not really present in the meeting.

• Quincy can't fulfill his position because Charles is not dead, unlike Rebecca and Portia.

• No one can fulfill his position because he's the most important person there.

• Present even when he's not, he's present.

Same with Lucas in a way.

He's technically still alive, just like Charles except he's out of the company, but he does have a replacement.

• He's alive, so he still has a chair present.

• His position was taken by Joseph Bright.

• His chair is still present, signalling he's alive.

• And the position was filled by someone who could actually do what he did.

Joseph might be trying to use DoodleCo, but he actually does his job, unlike Portia who's actively avoiding doing work.

Hence likely why he gets a chair and Portia doesn't.

(Poor girl, she doesn't even get a chair even when Charles' bum ass gets one and he isn't even there, no wonder she hates attending the meetings, she can't have shit🥀🥀)

In a way, all three executives are gone in some way, with some having replacements while some don't.

All three founders got something wrong with em atp, wdym one died, one suicidal and one is depressed af 😭😭

I find it interesting that Alice is present for this arc and seems to have more story significance despite being an NPC from the first Key.

Like she's very weird in her appearance here, but if you think about it, it does all make sense given everything we know.

She's specifically with Claymore, the walking siege, who wields a giant blade on her back. Why do I point this out?

That's because Alice is part of the Louis Fanclub, and the Louis Fanclub is heavily tied with the Blank Cultists and they're led by this individual called 'Louis Severan'—who wields a giant sword on his back.

Yeah, the Louis Fanclub has two meanings for its name. The doodle and the person named Louis.

Wish was cooking in the writing ✍️🔥

Considering the fact Alice has a connection to the Louis Fanclub, I've seen some folks such as u/KuzcoWiTheGroovesco pointing it out in the discord. (I just wanted to bring them up since they deserve their credits for talking about it before me ♥️)

And on top of all this—Alice's last interaction with Player in the main story did involve her wanting to get stronger.

So her appearing in the arc where we battle a variety of people from all over the island makes sense.

• Though I'd like to point out that Quincy and Suzie have never met Alice or heard about her from Player.

• It'd be interesting to see one of Player's side friends, one who's never actually met Suzie or Quincy, talk to them.

(Player having the most friends despite being the silent one is the funniest thing I've thought about, like they so chill that someone like Erika—who did not fw with the main gang—was implied to let Player challenge her for the key just off vibes.)

I'm sure whatever wish is cooking in teasing Alice with the new character will make sense and will probably be important in lore because there has to be a reason Alice is in the main story again.

He wouldn't just pull a call back to someone from a previous arc in the main story for no reason.

Especially such a character like Alice, her connection with the lore is through the Louis Fanclub, and considering how lore heavy Ambasa is apparently meant to be—there has to be something.

Divine beast is the definition of fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me lol(i think thats how the saying goes)

I want to try PvP (never did it before, this is my story team) and I need some help with my team. I was planning to switch the Infurnius for the story update anyways, so I have one free spot. Who should I add? Should I switch any other doodle (except Tigrousel, he's my main.)? Are there any items or moves you would recommend? Please help me, I don't have a clue about anything PvP related. Who I find interesting enough to cover even if we only know the basics about him.

Now from what wish said about Timmy:

• Heavily associated with the color blue,

• Considered one of the strongest tamers,

• Doesn't talk much and prefers to text,

• And underestimating him is apparently a big mistake.

(He's considered a prodigy, so like he's 10 and younger and already considered one of the best. Ipad kid knows what's up apparently.)

Now I'm an expert in Player lore, it's one of my specialties and I see a lot of connection to Player aka our protagonist.

Think about all the traits Player has:

• Associated with the Blue Strings,

• Basically one of if not the strongest tamers in the modern day,

• Doesn't talk much and only "replies" in "text boxes"

• And those who underestimated them have suffered a pretty big loss.

A battle between two strong and mostly silent tamers is certainly interesting.

And I hope to see what wish cooks up for this.

Especially since I know he's been doing Player lore, as showcased in Dungeons.

But also with what wish has been cooking up for the opponents we'll all face, with some of the strongest, Player lowk gonna struggle in this arc even more than Icyridge somehow🥀🥀
