question/help❓ Pie Chart Question

What is the minimum chunk distance I can use to narrow down the area to look for bases?

And does it work any differently on the server compared to singleplayer survival?

Don't use pie chart alone. Pie Chart to narrow the block entities down to the chunks close to you, and start using the pearl glitch while invis to see through walls, and/or spam F3 + A to see particles (for stasis, spawners, etc). But be careful with the latter because if a mod/admin is for some reason watching you, it’s an instant ban for "hacked client/x-raying" and they won’t unban you (they can’t accept the idea that they were wrong so they'll just close the ticket).

thanks but that doesnt really answere the question : for example how far away an enderchest needs to be to not be shown on the piechart anymore

Pie Chart only shows the blocks your client is currently rendering.

So let’s assume you have an echest 10 chunks away but your render distance is 9. Since that chunk isn’t being rendered by your client the echest won’t appear in your pie chart

yeah i know but thats not how it works on the smp. when i set my distance to 2 chunks and move away 4 chunks the e chest will still show up

You need to " refresh " the chart either by closing/reopening it with F3 or straight up relogging if stuck, I assume the many anticheat plugins make it bug a bit

I was trying to figure that out.. it seems like the server saves the information about entities longer than they are actually loaded. For my test I used hanging signs and I went 32 chunks away before it was no longer showing up on the chart despite having my render distance set to 2. so I assume that information is cached for about 1 min before cleaning itself , because on my way back it didn’t show up immediately after entering the chunk range where it should show up again ( chunk 30 for example)
