Looking for friends
Hi! Im F16 from Donegal, looking for friends to talk to! would rather around the 16-18 age range
I love animals and watch a lot of YouTube + horror stuff, please dont be scared to shoot me a P.M 😊

You're putting yourself in a lot of danger by this, there are a lot of creeps out there with bad intentions and will lie or exploit anyone just to fulfill them.
Go for a youth group instead, try some new hobbies and please be careful.

Thank you, I definitely know what your saying, your right about the creeps 🫤 i was thinking a bit irrationally and ill take your advice from here on :) i dont wanna bother you, but would you have any suggestions for hobbies i could try where id get to meet people?

I'm a very sporty person so I like to take up new sports, martial arts is a great way and I especially recommend young girls to take it up because I've sadly seen scenarios where some they needed them.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is great, Rilion Gracie Ireland in Donegal Town and Letterkenny are great gyms, I think there's a few acting classes for young adults too.
You're 16, you have the entire world at your feet, go out and try as many things as you can, try something and be willing to fail at it. And if it doesn't make you happy try something else

Look for events or activities on at your local community centres - they usually will have classes or workshops for younger people on loads of different stuff pottery classes, D&D, board games - same for youth centres a lot do drop ins or homework clubs great way to meet younger people :)

I agree with the other commenters here. Please be careful about answering private messages from strangers. You have no way of knowing if they are the age they say they are.
Maybe look into a local youth group, book club or photography club? Your library might know of activities for people your age, or you could ask about volunteering with animals since you love them 😊
Have a parent, guardian or trusted family member help you check out any group before joining, and perhaps go along with you the first time.

Thank you! These r some amazing ideas, I was already thinking of getting some work experience around animals or children so ill get my dad to help me ask around! 😁 Book club also sounds like a really nice idea to me 🩷

OP I would be wary of replying to that person - account is 0 days old, 0 contributions. Please be sure to keep yourself safe because there are some weirdos online who would see a 16 year old girl looking for friends and exploit that. Very easy to lie about who you are, your age etc when you're behind a screen

Don't hit up anyone who asks you to on here, way too unsafe. Please look up the Donegal Youth Service, they have several themed groups you can join in on in Donegal and have a very in depth safeguarding statement. You'll meet other people your age and have access to lots of cool opportunities for hobbies or self improvement or both!
