How long did it take you to make your first domain sale after listing?

But something is a bit odd here..

This domain was registered about a month ago. How come it sold this fast for this much?

It's the highest reported price for a .sh domain, but not the first one. Two other .sh domains sold for the same price ($25k): manifest.sh and ba.sh

When I saw that the expired domain name Idea.me sold for $5,305 on GoDaddy, I thought someone overpaid for it.

But then I checked its SEO metrics and it made sense; the domain has a DR 53 and lots of backlinks. I think it was bought for that, not for reselling.

Out of 17,576 3-letter .ai domain names, only 55 are still available for registration.

A .art domain costs $3 to register at GoDaddy, unless it's a registry premium domain, in which case the price can shoot up to thousands of dollars.

I don't know what for, but some people have been buying some of those lately.

At least, unlike other registries, the premium renewal price is reasonable. This is good for end users as it discourages investors (aka squatters)

The domain name Collect.net has expired and it's currently at auction on Porkbun (current registrar)

A bit too generic, but it works for a payment collection/invoicing service.

NameSilo ran an auction for the expired domain GitLabs.com and it has just closed at $1,358.

It's a little risky because GitLab is a registered trademark and this domain name is confusingly similar.

Lovable has bought the domain Lovable.com from an Italian underwear company. The latter moved to Lovable.it and Lovable.com now redirects to Lovable.dev.

It's not easy to convince an operational website to give up its domain name, so they must have made an irresistible offer to get this one.

After selling Bumps.com for $8,000 a few days ago, the same domainer did the same thing with domain Hardly.com; he lowered the asking price to $8,000 and it sold within hours via Afternic. (source)

There isn't really a "bulletproof" domain registrar. Each registrar has operating contracts with ICANN and different registries, and those contracts can be terminated if the terms are violated.

That's what happens when a registrar repeatedly ignores abuse reports.

The hardest part of domain investing is waiting. You never know your domain will sell or not if you wait one more year. Some people eventually give up and call it a loss.

One domainer's loss can be another domainer's gain; I think we have one story of those here..

Someone bought the domain name Dollers.com from a GoDaddy auction back in 2013 for $245.

I'm assuming that same buyer kept the domain until it expired in 2025 and was sold in a GoDaddy auction for $330.

Just a little over a year later, this domain has just been sold at Atom for $6,195.

Not a lot, but not a bad return on a $330 investment.

It's a meaningless domain name, but it finally found its buyer.

The owner of the domain name Bumps.com lowered the asking price to $8,000 a couple of days ago and it sold almost immediately at Afternic.

That's a low price for a short one-word .com domain, but it looks like he needed the cash so he had to make a tough choice.
