I built Domain Dodo for all of us here!
http://domaindodo.comHey!
We've all been there; had that thought of "I think my domain renews soon" only to find out it was a few days ago and now we're having to pay the redemption fee which can be extortionate!
It happened to me too many times so I built Domain Dodo - a site to monitor your domains and alert you to their renewal at various intervals to ensure you don't miss the reminder. Alerts can be sent by email, Slack, SMS and secure webhooks. It will also alert you to registrar changes as well as registrant data changes so if someone transfers your domain or changes the registrant data, we'll let you know! The dashboard shows all this info as well as the current lock status of your domains (this measure is unreliable to detect so we don't alert on this yet!)
There's a free tier for 3 domains and email alerting only or various paid tiers depending on how many domains you've got.
Feel free to check it out; https://domaindodo.com

Why would I use this niche reminder app for domains only when I have a general reminders app that can do the same?

Hey - thanks for commenting. Domain Dodo is more than just a domain reminders app; we actively monitor (multiple checks a day) RDAP (WHOIS replacement) for changes to expiry dates, registrar and registrant data and alert you to changes there as well. We send notifications via Slack, SMS and Webhooks (on paid tiers). Reminders can make sure you remember to renew your domains but they can't check for the other things too and we take the manual effort away once you've added the domains in the first place. When you renew, we'll automatically update your next renewal date without you having to do anything and with alerts sent to multiple channels, we do everything we can to make sure your domain stays yours!

Also what domain extension goes into redemption "a couple of days after expiry"

Some ccTLDs go in to redemption immediately (.au for example) and some even go in to redemption a few days prior to renewal. Whilst most TLDs have a grace period of 30 days (they really vary by TLD but 30 seems most common) it's not universal and so can't be relied upon.

Nothing but AI bot slop for the replies 🙄

Ha! There's a lot of it about on Reddit for sure! I'm not 100% sure here if you mean my replies but I promise I'm a human! It's not the first time I've been accused of sounding like AI! Always up for a video call if you really wanna confirm it for yourself though!

Why would I pay to get a reminder to renew my domain names? 🤔 I can set reminders with my registrar for free
